Ignite The Night

First Doctor visit

"Chase, I have an appointment today at 5:45. Do you wanna go?"

"Of course I do baby."

"I'm scared."

"There's nothing to be scared of , why would you be?"

"There is another human living inside of me, what if I have complications?"

"listen, we created that tiny little human. Doctor Roberts is here if you have complications. Now don't worry."

"It scares me that it will be my responsibility to keep this human alive."

"I'm gonna be right here helping you baby."

"Thank you, I don't know what I would do without you."

I get dressed throwing on a tight long-sleeve top to show off my small figure while I can, and some ripped blue jeans, topped off with my boots.

Soon as I walk inside I'm handed a stack of paperwork.

We take a seat in the almost vacant waiting room, The other girl is called back shortly after.

I climb into Chase's lap, straddling him.

He starts kissing me, leaving a wet trail from the bottom of my low cut shirt, up my neck to my mouth.

"Miss Carly Smith."

They call just as I finish the paperwork.

I walk back with Chase following.

"Hi I'm nurse Julie, Nice to meet you Miss Smith."

"Nice to meet you."

She leads us into a room.

And does a test to verify I'm pregnant.

A few short minutes later she comes back with the results.

"Miss Smith, Mister Rice, you indeed are gonna be parents."

I Kiss Chase before replying. "Thank you!"

She instructs me into the chair and goes over the details about how this will work.

"Doctor Roberts will be with you shortly." She says closing the door behind herself.

The minutes tick by before she comes in.

"Hello Miss Smith, I'm Dr Haley Roberts. How are you?"

"Pregnant lol. Pretty good."

"This must be the father?"

"Yep, Chase Rice."

"You are a star player for UNC right?"

"Yes ma'am."

"Okay, so do you know how far along you are?"

"No ma'am."

"Okay, we'll figure that out today. Now can I have you to lay back?"

I then lay back in the now, reclined chair.

"Okay I'm gonna pull your shirt up now."

I nod my head in agreement before she does.

Then she puts the gel on my stomach.

"Your stomach is already getting tight, a bump will appear soon."

She then puts the machine on me and begins rubbing it around, trying to find the baby. Chase is sitting next to me, holding my hand and deliberately watching.
"There is you're baby!"

"Chase look!" I smile.

And he has this ominous look present upon his face.

"What's wrong? Aren't you excited to see our baby?"

"Excuse me." He says rushing out the door.

Dr Roberts takes some photos of the baby before cleaning my tiny belly off.

She goes over some more information with me and sets another appointment for in two weeks.

After she brings the pictures back to me, I thank her and rush outside.

I see Chase sitting in the truck, gazing out the window.

I slowly slide into the passenger seat and close the door.

"What's wrong?" I sadly ask.

"I'm sorry that I done this to you. I knew we weren't ready for a child, I'm sorry I was so inconsiderate."

"You done nothing wrong baby. We both created the most precious thing in the world. There isn't anyone else in this world I would want to be my baby's father."

"Really?"

"Yes baby, I love you."
He drapes his arm around my shoulders pulling me into his side as we head home.
