Third Person POV

Half a month has passed since the New Year's festival. Today, Luca and [Y/n] were once again paired in the match. The survivors' side consisted of Prisoner, Female Writer, Entomologist, and Prospector. The match will be held at Lakeside Village. Even though they were sitting next to each other now, Luca was always looking the other way, not paying attention to who was on the table.

During the match, Melly was the first to be found by the hunter.

Melly: The hunter is near me.

The hunter is Dream Witch. After 50 seconds of chasing Melly, Dream Witch changes her target. Melly didn't really care, nor did she report that the hunter had switched targets. Luca was so focused on connecting the ciphers that he didn't notice the hunter was nearby. Strangely, Dream Witch didn't attack him immediately. She just sneaked a delighted smile. Luca suddenly felt dizzy. He heard a strange voice echo in his mind.

DW: Drown her...! Drown that woman...!
Luca: H...huh...? What...?
DW: Drown her...! You hate her, don't you...? Drown her...!

[Y/n]'s face appeared in front of Luca's eyes. Luca suddenly goes blank, his eyes were unfocused but open. Due to the influence of DW's spell, Luca has lost the ability to control his actions and thoughts. He immediately went over to [Y/n]. At this moment, [Y/n] was decoding the cipher on the big boat, when she saw Luca coming. She thought that Luca wanted to decode together, so she didn't care much. Suddenly, Luca hugged her. [Y/n] was so shocked. She felt something strange, but she couldn't bear to push him away.

[Y/n]: Luca ?

As soon as [Y/n] called out to him, Luca shoved her to the outside of the railing. At that moment, time seemed to stand still. [Y/n] saw Luca's expressionless face. She was still a little stunned. She dreamed that she was back in the neighborhood she used to live in, at a time when she had just finished the funeral for her ex-husband. Right now, she was standing in front of Merlin's house.

When the door of the small house in front of me was opened, I saw the man I loved so much.

My face lit up when I saw him. I ran to him and hugged him tightly. Contrary to my expectations, Merlin didn't hug me back. He immediately pushed me away. He peeked inside the house for a moment, looking extremely worried, and then he took my hand and led me away.
