A/N: So just some random thoughts I had and my analysis/take on two songs (yeah, I know, it's really short)

Part 1: Adolescence

"True love" - P!nk

The whole song basically summarizes the progression of their relationship during their high school years. Here are the highlights lol

Chapters 1-3

- Sometimes I hate every single stupid word you say

- Sometimes I wanna slap you in your whole face

- You push all my buttons

- I wanna wrap my hands around your neck

Chapters 4-5

- And you make me so mad I ask myself why am I still here, or where could I go

- Just once try to wrap your little brain around my feelings

- Just once please try not to be so mean

Chapter 6

- You're an asshole but I love you

- You're the only love I've ever known

Chapter 7-16

- No one else can break my heart like you

- Sometimes I wonder how we ever came to be but without you I feel incomplete

Part 2: Adulthood

"Hold on" - Chord Overstreet

The theme of this song is the loss of someone you once cherished very deeply, even if you weren't on the best of terms, you still love them.

In this case, neither Rui nor Hanami pass away so I'm interpreting the song in a more metaphorical way. In other words, I can imagine it playing when Rui and Hanami are losing feelings for each other so the person they once loved is "dying in their arms".

- Loving and fighting, accusing denying

- I can't imagine a world with you gone

- The joy and the chaos, the demons we're made of, I'd be so lost if you left me alone

- Hold on I still want you, come back I still need you

- Driving a nightmare I can't escape from

- I don't wanna let go. I know I'm not that strong

- I just wanna hear you, saying "baby let's go home"

- Let's go home

I can especially see this song from Rui's perspective since he was the last one to lose feelings. Moreover, the sentence "hold on I still want you. Come back I still need you" makes me think (in the context of their relationship) that Rui is silently calling out for Hanami not to leave. But, since he's always had difficulty expressing his feelings, and never told her just how much she meant to him, Hanami never knows just how much he wants her back, and it's now too late. So, the Hanami he used to love is slowly fading away.

And the "let's go home" part makes me wanna cry cause I can see it as Rui just wanting things to go back to how they used to be in their adolescence T_T

A/N: Feel free to suggest any other songs that remind you of them, and even write down your own analysis/interpretation. Anything you want cause this is a really random chapter XD
