" Phil!!! Phil? Have you seen the-" Dan started, walking into the kitchen, wearing pajamas.
" Phil?" Dan asked, but was interrupted by a kiss. Phil ran his fingers through Dan's curly hobbit hair.
" Hey Dan, I wanted to ask you something." Phil said, a moment later, as they sat on the couch watching Buffy.
" Yes?" Dan asked, turning to Phil.
" Dan, would you want to raise a kid...together? Not now, but, later on, maybe?" Phil asked.
" Of course! I mean, that takes a lot of planning, but, yes!" Dan exclaimed happily. Phil laughed, and twiddled his thumbs around.
" Phil, what's bothering you?" Dan asked.
" Nothing." Phil said.
" Come on. I can usually tell when you're upset." Dan said, wrapping his arms around Phil.
" I...It's just...if we adopted a baby...I don't want him or her to get made fun of in school, because she has two fathers." Phil said. " But I want to raise a kid. Maybe even two or three. Because orphaned kids deserve to have a good home, and, I just...I'm afraid, Dan. With all my heart, I want a child, but what if the gang is back? It'd just be putting them in danger."
" Phil, they were all arrested. And if they're any son or daughter of ours, they'll be fine in school. Trust me. We could move, if you want." Dan answered. Tears were forming in his eyes.
" No. This is the place where I met you. It will always have a place in my heart." Phil whispered.
" Alright. So when to we apply for an adoption form?" Dan said.
