Chapter 15

Alex's POV
Walking into the firehouse again it was so great to be here and I couldn't wait to start working again especially now since Josh is out and healthy and in the PICU so I don't have to worry as much about him getting hurt as before.
I walked in and Stella and Sylvia came up to me hugging me and congratulating me as everyone did the same thing except from Emma. She just stood in the kitchen part of the common room and looked at us.

"How's mom life?" Stella asked excited.
"It's good not so stressful yet since he's still in the PICU and have to stay there for a little while" I said smiling at everyone as happy tears started to come out.
"Oh, come here" Matt said as he went over to hug me when I hugged him back. As I went over to sit down at the table. I missed them so much.

"I've been cleared for duty by my brothers so I'm starting next shift!" I said excitingly as everyone cheered when Cruz stood up.

"That needs to be celebrated. Molly's tonight after shift!" Cruz said as everyone agreed when the bell went off.

"Squad 3, Ambo 61 vehicles accident 274 South Park Avenue" The bell said as they ran out and I stayed back with Truck helping Matt with some paperwork and Stella with some Girls On Fire when Dominick came in.

"Hey baby" I said kissing him putting my arms around his neck as we stood like that for a while in the hallway. It was really great having him here close by.

"Do you want to come to Molly's tonight with me and the firehouse?" I asked him as he nodded his head excitingly not really knowing what Molly's is.

"You are the greatest, I love you. We also need to go baby shopping soon" Alex going into mom mode which made Carisi laugh a bit. I laughed at him confused as he just smiled even more.

"Nothing, just enjoying how gorgeous and cute my girlfriend is and how I can't wait to be at home with you and our son" He said smiling continuously as I kissed him again multiple times as we went into the common room.

"Hey I don't think we've properly met. I'm Stella Kidd, Alex's best friend and Lieutenant on Truck 81 " Stella reaching her hand out as he shook it.

"Nice to meet you Lieutenant. I've heard a lot of great things about and about this place. It's a pleasure to be here" Carisi said shaking her hand as he looked around the place.

"If you hurt her I'll come after you" Stella said in a soft but serious tone as Carisi just nodded his head as Stella walked off.

"Don't worry about Stella she's harmless. If you want to worry about someone here I would go for Matt and Kelly, they're pretty protective over me" I said laughing a bit seeing as slight fear spread across his face as I took his hand kissing him one last time before we headed out of the firehouse.

We went to this huge baby store in downtown Chicago looking around at first before I headed over to the clothes section and Carisi headed over to the cribs and car seats section. Who would have thought lol.

I found this really cute onesie that looked like a firefighter where the suit was designed like the bunker gear we wear and hood was like a little helmet. It's so adorable we have to get it though it was a little big for him as the smallest size they had was 2-3 months old and he barely was a month old but it's fine then he can something to grow in once he gets a little bigger. I found a few other things as well when pointed for me to come over to him so I did and saw he had found this really fancy car seat that had some toy hanging from the handle and two different belts one that goes around the waits and one that goes over the shoulders.

"What do you think of this?" He said showing me the car seat really proudly. I smiled at him and nodded my head.

"It's looks really nice. Let's get it along with these things I found and then we can always come back again" I said as we went up to the register and Carisi payed for it and took car seat while I took the bag and we walked out holding and put it all in his car that he rented for the time he was staying here.
