WARNINGS: Graphic seizure(s), food, brief mention of nausea
All seizure symptoms are taken directly from my own life, yadda yadda, probably won't exactly line up with what's explained in Now It's Time To Get Funky, because figuring out you have a seizure disorder and having it evolve is. Weird, my dudes. It's not explicitly mentioned but both of the couples have been dating for a good chunk of time. ALSO, don't take this as a how to on helping someone having a seizure (or a cluster of them), there's like a bajillion different factors and what's portrayed here as something small and normal, can for other people be deadly. Ok I've procrastinated starting this enough let's go.

Keeping a close eye on both the weather forecast and the view out the window, Tsukishima Kei dressed himself for dinner later that day. He, his boyfriend Tetsurou, Tetsurou's best friend Koutarou, and Koutarou's boyfriend Keiji were all going to a new cafe that had opened for a double date. It was hard for the four to find a time that they were all available, especially now that volleyball season had started up and Koutarou was playing for a D1 college team. But, they finally did it; Koutarou's coach was out of town, Keiji had no deadlines coming up, the museum Kei worked at closed on the weekends, and Tetsurou... well, Tetsurou worked for his other best friend, Kenma, who was a pretty successful professional gamer (especially for being only 23) so his hours were pretty flexible.

A knock on the bathroom door interrupted his thoughts. "Come on, moonshine, it's just Bo and Kaashi. They don't care whether your jeans are black or grey, I promise."

"I'm making sure I won't overheat, smartass," he said, letting the older man in. "We've been planning this for 3 weeks, I don't want to mess it all up by needing to leave."

Tetsurou waited as Kei fit the shirt he decided on over his head; a knitted sweater that, if you asked Tetsurou, was a bit too thin for the late autumn. Once he had, he grabbed him by the hips and pulled the taller to his chest, making eye contact in the mirror. "Kei, it's fine. If we have to leave, we have to leave, and they understand that. It's not your fault, yeah?"

Kei sighed. "Yeah, I know." He'd always been self conscious about needing to stay home to accommodate his health. He'd lost more than one boyfriend because of how many rain checks they had to take on plans (plans that usually included the beach, or a concert, or hiking, as Tadashi pointed out spitefully). "I just don't want to... I want to avoid it if I can."

Tetsurou sighed. "Just don't try to keep it to yourself if you start feeling shitty, ok? Once holiday break comes up we'll be able to hang out with everyone plenty."

Kei shivered as soon as he stepped out of the car, but refused to admit it in front of his boyfriend who was always all-too-glad to give an "I told you so." Still, the smirk on Tetsurou's face said enough as they walked arm-in-arm into the building.

It was small enough (and Koutarou loud enough) that they saw the other two right away, the two former captains standing for a "bro hug" as Kei slid into the booth across from Keiji, neither bothering to hide their smiles at their boyfriend's antics. "How's the new chapter?"

"It's going. I'm still not sure how to lead up to the climax of the book, but-"

"HEY! No job talk, you workaholics!"

"Coming from you," Kei muttered, having his own fair share of dragging Tetsurou  away from paperwork and certain that Koutarou's coach had given Keiji a key to lock him out of the gym. "What're you ordering?"

"Well, Kenma's indoctrinated me into the basic-bitchhood of pumpkin spice, so probably a mocha. You want a hot chocolate?" Kei tilted his head to both sides; he didn't want to deal with the after affects he got from caffeine, but he did want to branch out.
