NADIA.
It had been a busy week for my family, since we were celebrating my cousin sister's wedding .
Today was munnaya's wedding fatiha.
But she was no where to be found!.

Every one was summoned downstairs for a family meeting.
It was stated clearly to us,munnaya eloped with her fiance's best friend.
Anty Maryam read out the letter munnaya left behind.

And that was how it started,I was choose to replace munnaya as the bride,to secure our family from what the society will say.
No one cared if I was ready or not, they only knew that I was never going to say no to them.

The house was buzzing with activity as preparations for the wedding Fatiha continued in full swing. From the moment I said "okay" to Kaka Indo, everything around me became a blur. It felt as though I was being swept away by the current of a river, with no chance of escape.

Amal and Ibtihaj stayed by my side, chattering nervously as they led me to my room. Their voices blended into a hum, but I managed to catch snippets.
"You'll look beautiful, Nadia."
"Fu'ad won't have a choice but to fall for you."

Fall for me? The thought made my stomach tighten. Wasn't he meant to marry Munnaya, someone confident and charismatic? I was none of those things. I was plain, quiet, and entirely unprepared for this life-changing day.

"Amal, do you think he'll like me ,am sure he'll hate me?" I asked hesitantly, my voice barely above a whisper.
"Hate you? Don't be ridiculous," Amal said, giving me a reassuring smile. "You're kind-hearted and responsible. That's all that matters."

I couldn't bring myself to believe her.

The door opened, and My mum entered, her face full of concern. She sat beside me, holding my hand gently.
"Nadia, I know this is sudden. It wasn't what we wished for you, but sometimes life presents us with challenges we do not expect. I believe in you. You'll make a wonderful wife, and Fu'ad is a good man. Trust in Allah, my dear."

Her words offered some comfort, but the knot in my chest remained. How could I trust in something I hadn't chosen?

"Everyone's ready downstairs!,it's ten o'clock, the wedding fatiha is about to start" Ibtihaj announced, poking her head into the room.

"Let's get you ready"Aunty Maryam said as she came in, while some other relatives came in with the set of munnaya's box.

I lazily dragged my body to the toilet to take my bath.
