After Six Years

"Mummy! Mummy, please save me from Khairan!" Khairat giggled as she ran around the living room.

The adorable twins, Khairan and Khairat, along with their younger sister Huda, were darting up and down the parlor, throwing pillows at one another, laughing and shrieking with joy.

"Khairan! Khairat! Huda!" Nadia screamed in frustration, almost on the verge of tears as she stepped out of the kitchen. She had been trying to prepare dinner, but the kids' noise and mess had made it nearly impossible.

She glanced at the wall clock—it was already past 6 p.m.

Looking around at the chaos they had created, she hissed, shook her head in disbelief, and stomped back into the kitchen.

"Ya Rabbi, he'll be home soon! These kids are going to be the death of me!" she muttered under her breath, hurrying to finish dinner.

Khairan and Khairat were now six years old, and little Huda had just turned four. The twins were stubborn and full of energy, yet incredibly loving. Fu'ad adored his children deeply—just as he adored their mother, Nadia.

The kids were enrolled in one of the best schools in the city. Over the years, Fu'ad and Nadia had grown more successful together—MashAllah. Fu’ad had become one of the top event planners in the country, always ranking among the top three every year. Nadia, on the other hand, was now a renowned name in the world of fashion, known for her bold and unique designs for models. Her trusted assistant, Amatullah—who had always stood by her—was now her right-hand woman.

Their offices were located in the same building, just different sections.

Amal and Imran were thriving in their marriage, blessed with two beautiful children—Jawahir and Khaleel.

Ibtihaj and Ameer had a lovely daughter named Jadwa.

Fateema and Ahmad were proud parents of two children as well—Maniha (named after her grandmother) and Adeel.

"Babe, hurry up! We're all waiting!" Fu’ad shouted from downstairs, keys in hand.

"Just two more minutes, baby!" Nadia called out, quickly applying some lip gloss.

Five minutes later, she descended the stairs, looking radiant.

"Sorry, I really am. Where are the kids?" she asked, noticing the expression on Fu’ad’s face.

"They're already in the car. And by the way, you look beyond beautiful tonight. If there was a word greater than ‘beautiful,’ I’d use it," he said, stepping closer.

Nadia blushed, knowing exactly what he was up to.

"Babe, we’re late! The kids are waiting," she reminded him.

He placed a finger gently on her lips to silence her. Once she was calm, he leaned in—but before he could kiss her...

"Mummy!" Huda shouted, dashing in as Khairat chased her.

Fu’ad sighed and grabbed the car keys.

"Khairat, stop that! You’re always causing trouble!" Nadia scolded as they all headed out.

At the Grand Hall

The Bellos and the Gorkos were having a long-awaited family reunion. The entire family was present, except for Kaka Indo, whose old age made it difficult for her to attend events anymore.

The four best friends—Nadia, Amal, Ibtihaj, and Fateema—had so much to catch up on, especially about their husbands. Coincidentally, the four husbands—Fu’ad, Imran, Ameer, and Ahmad—had also become close friends.
