A push and a pull as I was trapped in an overcrowded area trying to find someone with whom I could connect, bond, form a friendship, or possibly share an interest. I desperately searched until an opening was formed. I darted to the vast surrounding area as I took a breath, looking around. Grasping at my sheet and pen, I found myself surrounded by unfamiliar faces once more. Voices echoed across the hall as time ticked into the trenches of the non-existent. I felt the presence of a soft tone behind me as I turned around and faced him. Drawn to his charisma, I asked him a question. He flashed an archaic smile as he answered. I beamed with interest as I wrote his name down. I pointed at his paper, indicating that I enjoy doing that particular activity. He quickly wrote down my name. I asked him about his birthday month. To our surprise, we had the same month. He realised as he reacted in defeat that we already had our names written down. I wistfully smiled at him as the last second ended. We returned to our seats as I glanced around, trying to locate his position in the room. I couldn't find him, but I wanted to know him better.
