MYSTIC [Part I]

CHAPTER :- 25

"I am ashamed of him father, he has crossed the line again" Boun's Aunt says.

They all woke up the next day. The physician was called again. He examined the guards, they're all fine.

Prem asks them, how it all happened. They said that they smelled a strong odour, they don't remember what happened after that.

"Did he say anything? " Keng asks.

Boun shakes his head "He won't ".

Aunt listens to their conversation and sighs.

In the evening, the Aunt decides to go meet Sean. He is left tied up in a dark room. The guards let her go inside after making sure he is unable to move his body, in case he tries to attack.

She stops midway when Sean says "Why are you here? "

"....I..came to meet you"

He chuckles humorlessly. " Why? Did you just remember that I'm your son"

Her eyes start to dwell with tears, hearing all this from her son.

"Sean, I... am sorry"

He looks at her with blank expression.

She continues " I know..... that you might think that I hate you but it's not like that. I didn't talk to you in years because I thought, it might change you...." she steps closer ".....i was wrong, wasn't I? My strictness and ignorance made you a person, I never wanted you to become......I am really sorry" She wipes her tear.

"If you are here to cry and tell me to confess, just do it and leave"

"Sean, I just don't want you to add more to your deeds......I.... "

"Please go from here mother" he tilts his face to the side.

"I am going.......... Sean, I don't want you to end up like your father" She goes out of the room, leaving Sean in a trance.

The king, along with Ben and Prem are going to Sean. It's been days but he hasn't said anything.

"He won't say a word, Papa"

He shakes his head. "Then....the only thing we can do right now is investigate ourselves and find how he did it all..... because without any proof , we can't keep him here forever " Then he proceeds to go see him.

Sean is sitting curled up in a corner. He hears their voice and lifts his head.

Keng sighs. "I don't know where you think doing all this will take you? ". He walks near him but stops midway and turns back to say something to Ben.

" I did it all" Sean says, loud enough for them to hear.

They give each other conspiscous look and turn to look at him.

" I took Boun from the festival with the help of those men. They were that Aqua's son, who abducted Boun in the past.....I didn't tell them my whole plan............I somehow found where his wife lived. I made them help me in the name of seeking revenge. My plan was to just focus your attention on boun so no one would doubt about my intention with Raya... "

"So........ You weren't going to harm Boun? "
Ben asks.

"Yes....cause he has nothing to do with the ritual anymore"

They look at him with questioning gaze.

"The reason why he was taken when he was a child.....because as what I have heard was written in the book The history of nowhere was that one drank every bit of blood of a child, they'll become an Illumina.. " With that, Sean hangs his head low and says "....that's all I have to say"

Keng is in disbelief as to how much hatred Sean had towards them that he was fine with doing such things to his own family. After a long pause Keng speaks.

"Sean, do you realize that you've done wrong? "

Sean only nods his head slowly still looking down.

"I wish I could forgive you, but what you did....is a crime". Keng tells the guards to take him to the underground cell.
