Song: Have You Ever Seen The Rain by Creedence Clearwater Survival
I'm laying on my stomach on my bed and doing my homework when I get a call. Thank god because I was starting to get bored. I prop myself up and lean over to grab the phone.
"Hello?"
"Hey gorgeous" a raspy voice replies.
"Billy" I say before quieting my voice. "How did you get my number?"
"I know people" he says, and I can imagine him grinning on the other end. I smile at the thought.
"Right. That doesn't sound creepy and ominous at all" I tease.
He chuckles. "Anyway, I was wondering if you would uh" he pauses for a moment.
"Yeah?" I say, twirling the phone cord with my finger.
"If you want to come over here and talk about feelings and shit..."
"Talking about our 'feelings and shit'??" I laugh. "I don't really need to talk about anything with you, Hargrove."
"Fine" he says with an attitude, shocking me at his sudden change in tone.
"Jeez I didn't mean it like that" I say. He takes a minute to answer. "Billy? U there? Die on me or something?"
"No" he replies and stops for a second before continuing. "If you wanna light a cigarette or something, I'm up for it."
"Sounds good" I say and I smile.
"Be there in 10."

I look outside to see Billy's blue Camaro pull up to the house and I rush downstairs.
"Mom, can I hang out with Tina for a bit?"
"Sure honey, just be back by 9" she says and I kiss her on the check before throwing my shoes on and rushing out the front door.
Billy is waiting with his window rolled down and a cigarette hanging out of his mouth. "Hey gorgeous."
"Hey handsome" I say as I walk around to get into the passenger seat. He starts the car and begins to zoom down the street and onto some road in the woods. Its a pretty road in the moonlight.
"I'm surprised you agreed to hang out with me tonight."
I look over at him. "And why's that?"
"Well, for starters, you've been running from me the past two days due to 'stress' and also" he looks at me "your brother doesn't want you with the big bad Billy Hargrove" he says in mock terror, holding up his hands and shaking them. He looks back onto the road and places his hands on to the wheel.
My smile disappears at his statement. Steve will be upset about me being with Billy.
"What he doesn't know won't hurt him, right?" I don't sound very confident, but oh well.
He smiles. "Right." I take this moment of silence to observe him. He breathes in the cigarette smoke before pulling the cigarette out of his mouth and blowing it, the smoke going out the window. The wind coming in causes his curls to go messy and unraveled. The hand with the cigarette hangs out the window and he seems at peace behind the wheel, which would be hard to believe considering how fast he is going.
"I don't think you should be going this fast" I comment.
"I don't really care what people think, gorgeous." He lightly shakes his head as he says each word.
"Not even me??"
"Nope."
"I mean, are we really in a rush to go.... where are we going?" Originally I thought his house but the road we are on doesn't seem to lead to a neighborhood.
"Not really anywhere specific, unless you have an idea."
"Maybe one place."
"And where is that?"
"This one hill that reaches the highest point in Hawkins" I say, trying to hide the enthusiasm in my voice. "The sunset is absolutely beautiful there." I look at the time. "5:55, shouldn't be too long until then."
"You want to go to a hill?"
"Yeah, why?"
He sighs but then quietly laughs. "Okay, gorgeous, wherever you want to go."
