"Take love. Multiply it by infinity and take it to the depths of forever and you'll still only have a glimpse of what I feel for you."
-Zachary Tyler
Zachary's P.O.V
I lifted her limp body from the black leather seat and brought her close to my chest.
Her skin began to grow pale once again.
Goosebumps that were accompanied with chills, wrapped around her arms and painted her legs.
And her tainted pink lips trembled in rhythm with her fingers that were slowly crumbling.
The once calm and collected breeze that stood by Madeline and I throughout the years, turned into a constant reminder.
A reminder that would always emphasize the time I had left before she was gone from this world forever.
A reminder that would mention how she was slowly dying inside.
And a warning of how I should start to slowly detach myself away from her, to minimize the pain and impact from a grenade that was seconds away from destroying everything from within its reach.
I kicked my shoes off and placed her gently on my bed, remembering how uncomfortable it must be for girls to sleep in red-carpet dresses that hugged every inch of their body, all throughout the night.
I grabbed one of my black t-shirts and boxers and laid them down neatly beside her, racking my mind for ideas to make this as less awkward as possible.
I turned my face away and zipped down her dress, gently taking her arms out the long sleeves and throwing it aside.
I patted alongside the bed for her long, model-like legs and reached for my boxers, sliding them on.
I stood up and planted a kiss on her nose, sadly reliving our heartfelt memories that would one day, maybe be all erased.
But wasn't that the reason why people held onto them so tight?
Because memories were the only thing that wouldn't change, while everyone who you could once depend on would eventually.
I flicked the lights off and stopped in my tracks at the sudden, faint voice that somehow found its way to me.
"Zachary?"
I turned around and closed the door behind me,"Mhm?"
"Can you sleep with me?" Even though it was pitch-black dark, I could picture the faint blush that was currently shading in her cheeks. "I-I don't mean it in that way. I'm just so used to sleeping with my mother's teddy bear that she gave to me before she died and-"
She took a deep breath and shuffled in position, silently crying herself to sleep.
I pulled my shirt over my head and slid in beside her, wrapping my arms around her chilled body. I brought her head to my chest and painfully reminisced over the fact how she would never be able to build a relationship with her parents.
And how she wouldn't even have her parents beside her, the moment she would take her last breath."You miss your mom, don't you?"
"I just wish that she was here with me you know? To tuck me in or to tell me when I'm doing something wrong and shower me with kisses when I would make her proud. . .I miss her so much."
Her mop of brown-sugar hair was now sprawled across my chest and her manicured fingers were rubbing against my skin. She weakly lifted her leg and tangled it with my own as her breaths slowed and became more and more faint.
"Can you promise me one thing?" She squeezed my hand and let go. "When I die, just forget about me and everything that ever happened between us, please?"
"And why would you want me to promise you that?"
"Because once I leave, I'm never coming back."
And it was true, wasn't it?
The one person who meant so much to me. . .really wasn't going to come back.
But I'm sorry. . .
Because one's first love will always leave a permanent imprint on the other's heart.

I can't believe that 12:00 is coming to an end soon :(
Yes Madeline's mother was alive in the beginning of the story but she is now deceased. It was unexplained, but it was left out for a reason :) Just to clear things up xx
