If I wouldn't have been so tired after that weekend, I probably would've dreamed about all the wonderful things that were about to happen again, but unfortunately I slept like a rock and didn't remember anything in the morning.
I was a little exhausted, because I only slept a few hours, but nonetheless, I was up quickly and excited. First things first, I called Nick while I got ready for university, just like in the old days. I greeted him way too euphoric, but he seemed to accept my mood with open arms. And after a while of talking about the stupidest things with my best friend, I was ready and about to walk out the door and head to the university.
"Bye, Nick. I got to go." I said while I struggled to get my backpack on, without having to put the phone down that I was pressing against my left ear with my right hand.
"Yeah. See you later!" Nick replied shortly but friendly, and hung up.

I was sitting in the front row of the big lecture hall, trying to understand the words that had left the professor's mouth and to decipher the letters, formulas and symbols on the blackboard.
The past few months I hadn't been focusing on my studying at all with so many other things on my mind. Unfortunately I fully suffered the consequences of it when I tried to keep up with the lecture again. I wanted to concentrate and turn things around, I wanted to move on and learn to achieve a good degree for my dream job, even when I didn't know what job that was yet. So I decided I would study day and night for the next few weeks or even months. I would do everything I had to do to catch up again. It would be tough and I knew that it wasn't the best way and that I probably wouldn't last long like that, but I had to try, because I didn't want to give up. Not anymore. When the lecture was over, I walked over to the outbuilding for the next lecture. I was exhausted, but on the way over there, I met Mona who cheered me up a bit.
"Hey, my dear friend. How are we feeling today?" She asked while she jumped up and down besides me. I had no idea where she took all that energy from, but I was glad for her.
"I'm alright, thank you. I see you got enough sleep." I answered, but with a questioning tone and a wide grin.
After that, she stopped jumping around and walked next to me, as she was headed to the same lecture as me. "Yeah, it's my first lecture of the day, so I could sleep in a bit."
"That's great. I think I'll catch some sleep this afternoon- though... I'll probably have to go through my notes of today again, because I didn't get anything." I said with a desperate sigh.
"Oh c'mon, Ena. I know the last few months have been tough for you, but I'm sure you'll catch up soon. If you'd like, we could do a study group!" Mona was really excited about the idea, and honestly, so was I. I thought about it and came to the decision that it would probably be very helpful and less devastating, and I would get to spend time with Mona, which was always a pleasure.
"Sure. That sounds amazing." I smiled at Mona before I opened the door to the lecture hall. We quietly took place next to each other, this time in the second row, and started listening to the professor who had already begun with his lecture and gave us stern looks, though we walked over to the outbuilding as fast as we could.

I was on my way to the café when I got a call from Albert.
"Hey, Albert." I answered my phone with a friendly smile, even though Albert couldn't see it. It was a stupid habit.
"Hey, Ena. I have talked with Lia and Jack, I informed my colleagues and the court proceedings will start on Friday. You're invited as a witness. I just thought I should tell you myself, but you'll get a letter with everything you need to know soon too." Albert spoke with a low, but soft voice.
