Emily's POV
I waved goodbye to Sofia, Amber and James. I got in the carriage and headed home. Angel fell asleep in my lap. He was so tired because he spent most of yesterday and this morning running around with Clover. I gently pet his head while he slept. The carriage stopped and I decided to take Angel into the forest to get him some carrots. I was walking when I felt a cold blade against my throat.
"You move, and your dead. You will take me to your castle so I can claim what should be mine. Unless you want to die today, I suggest you do whatever I say."
I just wanted to get Angel a snack.
We walked through the village and he kept screaming.
"You move and she dies!"
My father came out and tried to stop the man.
"Leave my daughter alone! I will give you anything you desire, just let her go!"
Percy came running out a minute later with Annabeth at his side.
"Let my sister go!"
Percy's POV
I woke up to Annabeth shaking me and a lot of yelling outside.
"Percy, you have to get outside, someone is in trouble."
I looked out the window. WTF! Someone is holding my sister hostage. Oh, I feel bad for them because they're not getting away with it. Annabeth and I hurried to get dress and ran outside."Let my sister go!Or I swear to the gods I will make you life Tartarus!"
"You can have her in exchange for her." he said as he pointed at Annabeth.
"How about this, I fight you and if I win, I get both and you rot in prison for the rest of your days. If you win, you get to kill me and my sister, and you can have Annabeth."
He took off his hood and Annabeth gasped.
"Luke?"
"Hi Annie."
"Don't call me that!"
I looked at Annabeth and she mouthed, "I'll tell you later."
"I changed my mind. I wanna fight now." I said with all the anger I had inside. Luke let go of Emily and someone else grabbed the knife and held it up to her neck.
She screamed as the blade sliced at her neck. I saw the blade spill blood and her eyes starting to drift as if she was going to faint.
I charged at Luke with all the pain and anger I just received and stabbed him right in the heart. I ran straight to Emily and picked her up, after kicking the other guy in the face. I just kept running and ran straight into the infirmary and lauded her down. I had tears in my eyes as the nurses asked me to leave so they could treat her wound. I walked out and I saw Annabeth holding her arms out wide to me. I walked into her arms, letting out my tears. I had received several cuts from fighting Luke. I cried in Annabeth's arms. That's all I wanted to do. Annabeth lead me to a seat and I set my head on her lap. I wanted Emily to be okay. I wanted mom back. I wanted a lot of things, but not all them came true. I was covered in mostly my sisters blood and I just cried more.
I remember a song our cousin Thalia used to sing to her when she had trouble sleeping. In times of need, Emily would sing it to make me feel better. I could hear her singing.

She was actually singing. I smiled at her as she finished and I grabbed her hand.
"Well, that..... was........ interesting."
She said and I laughed.
