Annabeth POV
Today was the day. I could've just stayed with Percy, I brought this upon myself. I might as well live like this. I am marrying Prince Nico. I will spend the rest of my life regretting leaving Percy. My mom walks into my room and gasps.
"Annabeth, dear, you look beautiful!"
I turned away from her and just let my tears fall.
I felt something warm on my hand and looked up. My mother then spoke up.
"Annabeth.... I know this isn't what you wanted but this is for the best."
"I know mom, I know. As long as he is safe, that's all I care about." Just as mom was finishing with my hair, one of the guards knocks, and comes in.
"Your highness, I regret to inform you that Prince Nico has called off the wedding. He apologizes for his actions but says he loves another and says he wants to be with her."
"Oh. Very well. Thank you for notifying me."
Mom looks at me and smiles.
"Go get him dear."
I start tearing up and I run into my mother's arms.
I continue to cry with the hope that Percy will come for me.
