The next time [Y/N] opened her eyes, she was greeted by the morning sunlight, and a glamorous room, which she assumed to be her bedroom. Upon further inspection, she realized she was back at the Kamisato estate. She paused for a bit, taking notice of how she no longer felt tired or had a headache, and how her body no longer felt heavy.

She held in a groan, shifting her eyes to the only other person in the room — Thoma, who was folding presumably Ayato's clothes.

She managed to muster out a "Thoma?"

Her voice did not come out right, but she was thankful she could speak nonetheless. After all, she had no idea what happened to her after she blacked out. She watched as Thoma snapped his head to look at the woman as she slowly got up and sat down.

Thoma felt tears forming in his eyes. He saw the woman look at him with puzzled eyes, and he felt his emotions finally burst. He ran straight to her side, throwing his arms around the woman, and finally letting out a quiet sob, and a laugh.

He truly did miss her. It has been a very long time since she was last awake. And the gaping abyss that was gradually swallowing Ayato by the condition the Madame was in for a very long time only amplified Thoma's very own feelings. He knew he shouldn't be so brazen with the Madame, but he couldn't help it. They had grown close, and he knew that once Ayaka found out about the Madame waking up she would do the same.

"You're finally awake!" He cried out, all the while [Y/N] could not understand Thoma's reaction.

"Y-Yes? Thoma, calm down," she tried to calm the man, but he only cried louder, and so she let him do whatever... he was doing right now.

After a few minutes, Thoma finally backed away, apologizing sincerely for his insolent behaviour and promising to come back after a moment. With that, he left the room to do whatever he went out to do. Unfortunately, [Y/N] did not get the chance to question the man's actions since her room's doors once again burst open, and there she saw three people — Ayato, Thoma, and Ayaka. They seemed relieved, worried, and elated at the same time.

Ayaka was the first to run up to the woman, wrapping her arms around her as well. But this time, [Y/N] returned the hug. She was not aware of why they were acting the way they were, but she knew something must have happened to her for them to have such strong emotions upon her waking up. The least she could do was be happy with them.

"[Y/N], I am so so so happy to see you awake! I've missed you sincerely," Ayaka spoke, her voice louder than usual. She had never seen the lady so full of emotion before.

"[Y/N]..." said Ayato. Upon hearing him, the woman looked up, smiling brightly at the Commissioner. He was alive and well!

[Y/N] parted her lips to speak, "Ayato, you've recovered nicely it seems."

Ayaka pulled away slightly, nodding, "Indeed. Brother is all well now, and so are you, [Y/N]!"

Once more, [Y/N] took on a puzzled look, "So am I? What do you mean? How long have I been... unconscious for?"

The room suddenly took on a melancholic atmosphere. No one seemed to want to answer her question. But alas, someone had to be the one to do it.

She heard Ayato speak, "You've been... unconscious for about five months now, [Y/N]."

There was silence. [Y/N] wanted to say something, but nothing came to mind. Only blankness. This of course explained their reactions, but... five months? That is such a long time. That is such a frighteningly long time. The woman fumbled with her fingers, feeling her hands tremble.
