9 - Pranked!

No one had any idea what was going to happen today, no one but Percy. He had this day planned perfectly and had thought of every situation that could happen, and planned around it. The twins had started to become nervous that Percy was under too much pressure to make a prank that would go down in the schools history books, but come dinner time and they knew that the small, kind Slytherin was worthy.

Percy had spent an entire week, owling his uncle moony, spending every free chance practising spells and potions way to advanced for someone of his age, asking teachers all sorts of different questions and writing down notes, even in class he was doing this research and he had finally got it all set up. 

That morning Percy skipped his lessons and had found the kitchens after asking his uncle if he knew where they were and asked the house elves if they could put a potion in every drink, one type of potion for a different table, at dinner time and they agreed whilst giving him plenty of tea and cakes to leave with.

Then after ordering them and getting them delivered to him, each peice seperatly in order to avoid suspiction, built three magical sprinklers under each end of each table. The slytherins, was to produce red and gold colours, Ravenclaw to produce yellow and black, Hufflepuff, blue and white, Gryffindore, green and silver. The teachers table was a rainbow.

He had transfigured each animal from the house flags above each table to a different flag, the Eagles had the snake, the Snakes had the badger, the Badgers had the lion and the Lions had the eagle, he also tested to see if his demigod powers worked on the charmed sky and they did, so he used the levitation charm to put paint bombs into the candles and when he used his demigod powers to make it rain, the paint bombs will fall.

He also decided that the first twenty people that came into the great hall via the main doors that he would curse them to speak only in rhyme, much like how the Apollo and Herme's cabin had done many a times.

Now it was just a waiting game and he his just outside the hall, in order not to be suspisious, and watched as the first person to go in was Professor Sprout and quietly mumbled the curse in Greek and prayed it worked, he did that for the next nighteen people and when he was sure the hall was half full, he walked into the hall and sat next to his cousin, who was opposite the twins and gave a quick smirk.

This got the twins attention as they were curious as to what the little first year had done and Percy acted casual about everything, and just talked to his cousin, who was confused as to why he wasn't in class, and Percy just said that he had felt ill, but was now better.

It wasn't until halfway through the dinner that the potion had started to take effect and peoples hair started to change colour to the one that matched their opposing houses colour, then the sprinklers went off and he caused some rain for the paint bombs to fall, causing people to be covered in an assortment of colours, and when the twenty that were cursed tried to ask what was going on kept doing it in rhyme.

The hall had become chaos and the twins looked at Percy with awe who was increadibly calm about it all and Harry look at Percy exasperated. "If you get kicked out it is your own fault." 

Percy just laughed as the only one not effected and when the paint had stopped falling, Dumbledoor with a big grin on his face, stood and yelled for silence, and his hair and beard had been dyed bright pink, as had all of the teachers hair.

"Everyone settle down please. Now, I am awere that this prank has annoyed a lot of you, but we all must admit that it was well exicuted and as you can see, the prankster did not leave anyone out, that is except for himself."

Everyone looked around the room to find the one person who wasn't effected and all eyes fell onto Percy, who grinned and stood and did three mock bows in different directions, the last one ending with the teachers table.

"Mr Jackson, I must ask, did you have any help with this?" Dumbledoor asked looking towards the twins.

Percy shook his head. "No sir. I researched everything I needed and the teachers helped me with perfecting the advanced spells. The hardest part of it all was the timing and making sure everyone would be in the hall, as you said, I couldn't leave anyone out. Some one has to continue the family tradition, for as you know my uncles were the schools most famous pranksters, I figured I would honour their memory."

All of the teachers were shocked all except Snape who was furious, and everyone could hear Professor Sprout talking quietly to McGonogall in rhyme. Dumbledoor smiled some more and Harry covered his face in shame of his cousin, but the twins were grinning up to their little snake with joy.

"Yes I remeber your uncles well. But as brilliant as this is, you have caused havock umong everyone and have vandalised the entire hall and everyones hair, and so your punishment will be given out by your head of house tonight after dinner is over." Dumbledoor sat back down.

"Oh, to clean up the mess, is just a simple cleaning charm, to the people who can only speak in ryhme, it will go away after you have eight hours of sleep, however I do not know how to get rid of the died hair. Thank's everyone for being good sports. Oh- the hair dye potion was only in the drink so none of the food has been tampered with. You're welcome!" Percy gave another bow and sat down, and the first people to start clapping were the twins, which ended up being the entirety of the Gryffindor table, minus Harry and a very confused Ron, then it was the Hufflepuffs, then the Ravenclaws, then some teachers, and a few of the slytherins.

The twins congradulated Percy and said that he can hang with them and Harry asked what he meant about his uncles being well known for their pranks.

"Yeah, so James your dad and three of his friends, one of them I call Uncle Moony, he was like my moms baby brother, were the schools resident pranksters when they came here, apparently they made an animated map of the school, which got confiscated by Filch, with all their nicknames on it. I don't really remeber much, of what Moony told me only that they were trouble makers." Percy explained and Harry smiled at getting some information on his dad.

When Percy mentioned the map, the twins looked at eachother surprised, knowing exactly what map he was on about as they had it iin their possession since their first year. The twins had a silent discussion and decided that when they next met up with their protoge that they would share the secret of the map with him.

A/N Hey guys, so I got another update for you. Hope you guys enjoy it. I am currently over loaded with work. I am doing 4 A Levels, got MMA training every tuesday and thursday night, and work straight after college on friday until 8pm on Sunday, the I don't get home till 10pm and it is making my schedule very full.

On the plus side, I am taking tomorrow of to go bowling with my boyfriend because we haven't seen eachother since college has started back up,  and about three weeks ago my step dad took me on my first group ride on our motobikes and it's great, so much better than riding solo. And I'm very proud of the fact that I didn't crash, or break down, which has happened more times that I would care to admit.

Also my dumb dyslexic ass, has just spent 4 hours doing homework 3 of which was on Ancient History so Ancient Greek and Rome, and the other hour doing Medical Science and now words hurt to read. 😭
