IAN
When the ambulance arrived, Deb was put inside."Who's the father?" The woman asked.
"I'm her brother, we're the fathers, she's the surrogate." I informed the woman, jumping into the ambulance, Mickey following me.
"We're gonna be fathers soon, Mick! Isn't this exciting?" I asked, holding my husband's hand as he tried not to panic.
"Holy shit. I'm gonna be a father." Mickey smiled as Debbie yelled again.
The trip to the hospital was full of screaming and calming down.
We got to the hospital, Fiona calling us as Debbie was wheeled into a private room.
Fiona: I'm on my way. I'm probably another 10 hours off being there.
"Fiona, if you miss the birth, it's okay. We won't be mad. Besides, there's a chance that the babies won't come for another 24 hours." I admitted.
The call lasted 20 minutes before I hung up. Before long, everyone was at the hospital, watching as Debbie tried to relax.
MICKEY
Seeing Debbie sitting on the bed, it made me realise that soon, I'd have a boy and a girl in my life, both of whom will be my children. I pulled Ian aside, taking him out of the room."I have a possible name for our daughter." I smiled, a grin appearing on his face.
"I have a possible name for our son." He grinned.
All we could hear from outside the room was Debbie demanding that Frank be removed. We watched as Frank walked out of Debbie's hospital room, a smile on his face.
"I sold the house." Frank smirked, whispering.
"We know, Frank." I rolled my eyes.
"What? How?" Frank asked, quickly confused.
I pulled out the papers which showed that Ian and I officially owned the Gallagher house.
"You cheeky fuckin' bastards." Frank smirked. I handed him a beer, hoping that he'd get drunk enough to forget about what Ian and I had just revealed.
"Where did Frank go?" Lip asked as Ian and I returned to the room, the papers now back in my pocket.
"He got his hands on some alcohol." Ian rolled his eyes.
"Fuckin' hell." Lip groaned as Debbie screamed again.
"You feelin' okay, Debs?" I walked up to Debbie, who looked like she had been crying.
"Do I look like I am okay?! Why did Ian have to be fucking gay?!" Debbie groaned as she felt more pain.
I knew that she didn't mean it. I knew that she was just tired and mean because of the pain she was in. I left Debbie's room, heading outside the hospital. I pulled out a cigarette and made my way to a safe zone to smoke. I looked down at my wedding ring, a small smile appearing on my face, but only for a few seconds.
Ian made his way out, seeing me.
"Mickey, what's up?" He asked leaning against some railing.
"Ian, how could we do this to Debbie?" I asked, Ian looking at me confused.
"Do what?" Ian furrowed his eyebrows.
"Did you see her? She was screaming, crying and yelling. We did this to her. It's because of you and me that she's pregnant and she's experiencing the pain." I had never felt so bad for any Gallagher, but now that they were officially my family, it was hard to see one of them in pain.
