Muzan came home just days after your journey.
When your servant Yuri told you he was in the manor you rushed to make it to the lab room.
It was actually on the south side of the manor, which you were forbidden to go to but today, you didn't care.
You set up your surprise and sat silently wondering if he would come your way.
Muzan on the other hand was in an extremely bad mood. He had just come back from killing all of the lower moons.
He felt that everyone was incompetent.
His goal had changed, he wished to eliminate an annoying demon slayer with hanafuda earrings as soon as possible. He desired to have his head in his hands.
In the meantime, he had come here to clear his mind, he wanted to rid himself of this distasteful feeling he felt and replace it with a calmer state.
For something like this, there was no one better to visit than you. His Lily always seemed to calm him down...you also made him happy in the process.
But upon being told by Yuri you were out of the boundaries he instructed you to be in, he felt conflicted.
You had disobeyed him?
This was rare.
His first instinct was to ponder your reasoning. In his mind, he couldn't imagine you doing such a thing without a reason, a good reason at that.
He wondered if you were okay.
Of course, he wondered if it had something to do with the journey he had allowed you to go on. In his memories, you had left the area holding two cloudy containers. He didn't know what was in them, from Akaza's memory the scene was a blur. The upper moon hadn't tried to figure out what was inside them either, rather, he was focused on helping you return safely.
He decided he would ask you directly.
He headed to the south side of the manor at once and upon entering the room he saw you standing in front of one of his mixtures.
"Muzan!"
He ignored your antics as he walked deeper into the room.
"I don't recall allowing you to be in this room (Y/N)."
He watched as you approached him and without permission hugged him around his torso.
"Muzan!" you spoke with an adorable expression as you softly snuggled into his chest.
Kibutsuji froze.
He wanted so badly to hide his emotions but it came out anyway in the form of a smirk.
"I've been waiting for you to come back. I have a surprise for you."
