A few more weeks passed of you not seeing Muzan and you began to get a little worried. You were beginning to crave him endlessly as more time passed. The more time did pass the more the longing you had for him turned into hurt.

What was he doing that was so important he had left you here?

You sighed gently as you looked down at the table beneath you with a small grimace. You were particularly upset today.

You wondered if he even noticed, perhaps being a demon he had forgotten, but today was your wedding anniversary.

Sure, things weren't the same as before but quite frankly, you didn't care much about that. You wanted to celebrate your union with each other.

In your memory, it had been the happiest day of your life and that fact hadn't changed in the slightest.

Because of that, today you didn't feel like doing anything. You were quite literally sitting down doing nothing. You would stay up and wait patiently in case he would come on the slight chance he did remember.

You had no idea he was right behind you.

Hearing your thoughts, Muzan frowned.

A part of him knew you were right, it was uncalled for disappearing right after he brought you here, but it wasn't on purpose.

These days nothing seemed to be following through as he planned.

With each and every day, things seems to be getting more and more disappointing.

The light at the end of the tunnel was dimming.

His perfection was nowhere in sight.

The thought angered him to the core and yet he found himself so often being distracted taking care of demons who were utterly incompetent.

Despite that, he had come here for you and intended to spend his time here much to the fullest.

"My lady, it seems I've upset you."

Your head lifted at the voice you heard before you turned around and saw a man standing in the room. It was your husband.

"Muzan!" you said getting up from your chair at once.

His eyes warmed a bit upon seeing your smiling face as you rushed to be in between his arms.

He took in your sweet scent before smirking.

"I see you've missed me," his smooth voice said feeling your warm body in his arms.

You nodded leaning close to him and colliding your lips with his.

You gave him a kiss as unknown tears welled in your eyes. He scoffed before kissing you back, his hand cuffing the back of your head to support the contact between your lips.
