52- To Say Goodbye

Nova knew what she had to do, break all ties with everyone even though they already started that process.

Over the next few days she had gotten rid of things she didn't want nor need anymore. Laura had been trying to get a hold of her but she ignored her calls and messages just so she could see how it feels.

She stopped by the courthouse then after she was done she went to Zack's as her last stop on her journey. She rang the doorbell and waited for an answer, she hoped it was him and not Meghan that answered. Her thoughts were answered when she seen him standing there.

"Hey yeah she's right here. I'll call you back later, bye Laura." With that he hung up, "Nova, hey, what are you doing here? I'm glad to see you. Laura called worried about you because of what you said to her the other day. It's got me worried too."

"Oh cut the bullcrap, you don't have to worry about me anymore. You have more important things to worry about now than me. You made that clear." She sighs, "Our so called friends made that clear that they don't care about me neither. Look I just came to give this to you." She hands him some papers. "Do what you want with it." She shrugs.

He takes it with a confused look, "What's these?" He then looks at them and sees the papers are the deed to the house along with her car, "What? No, Nova I told you that you can keep that place. And your car really? That was a gift to you."

She shook her head, "No, I don't need them anymore. Not where I'm going anyways. It belongs to you. I mean you are the one who bought them in the first place. So it's only right they go back to you. Good bye Zack, hope you and her have a good life together and with your friends. I won't be a bother anymore. No one has to worry about me anymore. Not like anyone did anyways, everyone made that pretty clear." With that she walks away but he followed.

"Nova, wait, what the hell are you talking about? Where are you going?" He grabs her wrist.

"Just leave me alone Zack. Don't make this harder then what it already is. No one loves me anymore so why stick around. Let me go." She tried pulling her hand away but he tightened his grip.

"No, not until you tell me what you have planned. And you are still loved Nova. Just cause we're not together doesn't mean I don't still have love for you. I'll always still have love for you, I told you that. I'll always care about you."

"No you don't. You stopped caring about me the moment you started seeing her behind my back. And now I have no one. I have no family. The guys and their girls are on your side and that's fine. It should be that way. Now, Let! Me! Go!" She pulled a pistol out .

He quickly threw his hands up, "Nova, sweetheart, what are you planning? Please don't do this baby."

"No." She shook her head, "You don't get to call me that. I'm not your baby nor your sweetheart anymore. I haven't been in a while."

"Just, just put the gun down, please. No one has to get hurt."

"Oh this?" She waved the gun a little, "Don't worry, I'm not going to use this on you. I'm not that cold hearted and take an innocent baby's father away. This, this is for me."

"Nova, no, don't do this."

"I have to. It's the only way. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to leave here. This way you don't have a mess on your front lawn. And this way the neighbors don't have to witness anything that they don't deserve to see. I'm going to go see my mom. And I'll tell Jimmy you said hi. Maybe he still loves me unlike everyone here."

But as she went to stepped back to leave a pair of arms wrapped around her, she looked down to look at the arms, noticing they were Matt's.

"Let me go Matthew!" She began struggling.

"No! Not until you put the gun down Nova!" He roared.

"No! I have to go! I can't be here anymore! I'm not going to stay where I'm not wanted!"

She quickly brought her foot up and kicked him as hard as she could in his nuts. Then as Zack went to grab her she smacked him in the face with the butt of the gun.

"Goodbye, good luck with the band." She then stuck the gun in her purse as she took off running.

"Zacky, I called the police, they should be on their way." Meghan said after she got to Zack's side with a towel to put to his face.

"Why? She's just upset, she has every reason to be. We abandoned her. We're all she had left." Zack grumbled.

"I called them because that crazy bitch assaulted the both of you!"

"She's not fucking crazy. She's depressed, there's a fucking difference." Matt roared, "Come on Zack, we need to find her before she does something bad."

"Why does he need to go with? She's not his problem anymore."

"Meghan don't." Zacky shook his head.

Matt scrunched his face together as he shook his finger at her, "You are so lucky you're a female and fucking pregnant right now!" He then looks at Zack, "Now come on, you helped cause this with this mess you're going to help fix it!"

"I want to come with."

"No!" Matt groaned then sighed as he put his palms together while touching the bridge of his nose, "Sorry but that's not wise. Now come on we're wasting time."

"He's right, babe just go back inside. We'll be back soon." He said and pecked her lips then headed towards Matt's car.

"Ugh fine! What the fuck ever." She groaned and stormed inside.
