The Roses and The Lilies

𝐶ℎ𝑎𝑝𝑡𝑒𝑟 18－ 𝐼𝑠 𝑎𝑙𝑙 𝑤𝑒𝑙𝑙？

"ENOUGH!" Aquila roared, rushing into the field.
Aries paused as she raised her gun.
"Boss?" One of the lackeys looked over at her. "Wha's happenin'?"
"Don't fight them. We're signing a peace agreement," Aquila folded her arms. "Back to the warehouse with the lot'uv ya,"
"Yes ma'am," was the choruses response as the crowd dispersed back inside.
"Sorry bout that," Aquila grimaced.
"Misheard her," Ophichius explained at Gem's perplexed expression.
"Medic! fucking hell- MEDIC!"
The group turned as Scorpio bounded into view, Libra on his back and Pisces rushing after them.
"Oh. Ya got her out," Aquila blinked.
"What's happened?" Aries' eyes went wide as Scorpio set Libra down onto the ground.
"Knocked out from a sonic blast. Her ears are bleeding," Scorpio answered. "We need help,"
"We have a doctor on speed dial," Aquila turned to Ophichius.
"Please call them," he said. "Good to see you, Pisces," he nodded at the woman.
"Good to be here," she replied.
"Pisces! Oh my god!" Leo shrieked, tackling her in a hug. "You fucking- oh my god," she buried her face into Pisces' neck.
"I'm ok, Lee," she assured her. "Libra's not,"
"Oh this is a mess," Aquarius sighed. "Where's Sagi, Cap, Mini and Virgo?"
"Oh," Leo grimaced. "Sag got hit. He's bleeding a lot,"
"Why didn't you lead with that?" Aquarius' eyes went wide. "Where?"
"We're here," Virgo said, appearing through the mist. Mini was beside him, and Capricorn behind them, carrying Sagittarius.

"I'm going to call Cancer," Scorpio said.
"I'll call Taurus as well," Virgo nodded. "Call if either of them wake up?" He looked at the others.
They were assembled outside their cheap hotel, sat by their cars as they waited for word from the doctors seeing Libra and Sagittarius.
"Will do," Mini nodded.
"They'll be okay," Scorpio said shortly before leaving them.
"Now imagine if cancer's having the baby now. Could only make matters worse," Ophichius hummed.
"Don't even say that," Gem groaned. "Please, Ophi,"
He shrugged his shoulders in response.

"I missed you," Leo murmured. "You were gone for a while,"
"I'm here now," Pisces nudged her. "Okay?"
"I was scared," the leader of the Italian mafia confessed. "I might've been rude to everyone,"
"What are we gonna do with you then, huh Lee?" Pisces chuckled. "I'm okay, you know that right?" She leaned her head onto Leo's shoulder.
"I do. Yeah. It's just..." Leo frowned. "I realised I can't keep everyone safe all the time. And that's scary. You were gone, then Aries vanished,"
"Everything turned out okay,"
"Did they?" Leo mused. "I'm pretty sure libra's going to be deaf, and Sagi won't be able to walk any more,"
"Think positive, Lee,"
"You know me enough by now to know that I think realistically, Pisce,"
Pisces hummed. "I suppose so. Just have a little faith okay?"
"I'll try, for you,"
The smaller woman beamed as Leo rested her head on hers.

"Tauri?" Virgo called softly as he positioned his phone in front of his face. "My love?"
"V!" Taurus grinned down at his husband. "Everything alright?"
"Pisces is ok. Libra and Sagittarius are being checked over,"
"What happened?"
"A minor mishap. Worst case scenario, Libra's deaf and Sagittarius is paralysed,"
"Oh that's awful," Taurus frowned.
"Everything alright down there?"
"Well. I think cancer's having contractions, but she says she isn't,"
Virgo groaned. "Typical,"
"I know right? She says they're not like spaced out evenly yet so no need to panic, but you can't help but panic when she lets out a groan every once and a while,"
"Is she telling Scorpio?"
Taurus gave his husband a pointed look.
"Right, okay. I'll just try and hurry things along more up here,"
"Please do, I beg,"

The doctor walked over to them.
Capricorn tapped his fingers on the back of her hand in either an effort to distract himself or comfort her, she wasn't sure. It was comforting nonetheless.
"Well?" Ophichius folded his arms.
"They both have lasting damage. I advise getting the girl sorted with hearing aids, and the boy with a wheelchair," he replied. "She's deaf, he's paralysed,"
Silence stormed over them all as the doctor walked away towards his car.

Libra turned to Sagittarius. He was laying in bed, glancing around the room.
She said his name, but didn't hear herself say it.
He turned to her.
She said I can't hear.
He grimaced in response and indicated his legs before making a crossing motion with his arms.
You can't walk anymore? She said. He nodded.
She sighed and he scrunched up his face.

"We should start going," Leo got to her feet.
"I'll go see Sagi," Gem offered. "Cap, you wanna help carry him down?"
Capricorn nodded shortly, letting go of Aquarius' hand and following him into the building.
"I'll help Libra down," Leo said, moving away from Pisces and trailing after the two men.
"Who's going with who?" Ophichius looked at everyone else.
"I'll go with Leo and Libra," Pisces said. "Aries, wanna join us?"
"Sure. Time to get lectured I guess," the redhead replied, picking at her nails.
"Gem can go with those three. I'll join you," Virgo informed Ophichius.
"Those three?" Aquarius frowned. "Do you mean-,"
"Yes," Virgo said shortly.
