34. in my arms

Julie's pov.
I'am in the kitchen cleaning dishes. The twins are in bed and it's getting late and Luke isn't home yet. I sigh as I look at the clock 9pm he usually comes hom between 7 and 8. I'm worried and angry at the same time. I finish the dishes and sit down in the livingroom with a book and a cup of tea. Where is Luke!? I finally hear the door open and he kind of sneaks in he freezes as he sees me.
"Oh I thought you are already in bed" he says and I scoff.
"It's past 9" I say and he looks embarrassed.
"I'm so sorry Julie I forgot the time" he walks towards the kitchen and I follow him.
"Where were you?" I ask.
"At Alex and Reggie's"
"Why?"
"Just to hang out"
"And why the hell didn't you tell me!? I was so worried" I say and he hugs me.
"I'm so sorry my phone died"
"Alex or Reggie could've texted me for you"
"Yeah"
"What's going on Luke!? The past few days you've been so busy and weird."
"I know and I'm sorry"
"Yes" I just say and get off his arms.
"Leave me alone with everything while you go party at the guys house" I say and make my way back in the livingroom. Soon he sits down next to me and I look at my book but don't even read a word.
"Jules. I'm sorry you will know soon I promise"
"I'am your girlfriend! Why don't you tell me what's going on?"
"I can't its a surprise"
"Surpise?" I say annoyed.
"Yes for you okay?"
"Why?"
"Why not?"
"I hate you"
"I love you too"
I roll my eyes and take my cup of tea but Luke is faster.
"Hey my tea!" I yell and he gets up.
"Now it's mine" he says and walks in the kitchen. I jump up and run behind him.
"Luke!"
"It's empty now" he giggles and I slap is arm.
"Ughhh" I scoff and Luke puts his arm around me.
"Lay down and I'll get you another tea okay?" He kisses my head and I sigh.
"No I don't want one anymore"
"Okay" he puts the cup in the sink and I smile at him.
"What?" He says.
"Nothin' "
"Ookay" he takes my hand and we walk upstairs in our room.
"Imma take a shower" Luke says and I nod and open up the balcony door so I can sit outside. I love to just listen to the sound of the ocean. It's so calm and relaxing. I hear the water running in the shower and I get a blanket because it's kind of cold outside. I take a deep breath and close my eyes. It's dark out so I can't see anything anyway.
Later I notice Luke sitting next to me and I lean my head on his shoulder he smells like lavender.
"Did you take my lavender body lotion?" I ask.
"Maybe"
"It's mine"
"What yours is mine Molina"
I giggle and he kisses my nose.
"Can you tell me what you plan soon?" I ask and he laughs.
"Very soon my love"
"Why not now?"
"Be patient"
"I can'tttt I hate surprises Luke"
"I know Julie"
"Is it a dog?" I ask and he laughs.
"Sorry but no"
"Ugh. What is it then?"
"If I tell you it wouldn't be a surprise anymore"
"Very true" I look in his eyes and he kisses me.
"I love you" he whispers.
"Love you more"

The next day.
I dance around the kitchen with the radio full blast while I make cookies. The twins play on the floor next to me. Harmony looks up at me and I take her and we dance around the kitchen. Grayson laughs at us and me and Harmony do too.
"And we dance and dance around the kitchen harms" I sing and she giggles. I notice Luke watching us, he laughs and takes Grayson so we all dance together around the kitchen until the song is over. And I let Harmony on the floor again.
"Now our turn" Luke takes my hands and spins me around to the next song. We laugh and the twins run around the kitchen while we dance.
"I would never fall in love until I found youu" Luke sings. I laugh and Luke presses a kiss on my forehead.
"Oh no the cookies!" I yell and open up the oven. They are all black.
"Oh noo" I say and take them out.
Luke giggles and I throw the cookies in the trash.
"Your fault" I say with a smile and Luke shakes his head and takes Grayson and sits him on the kitchen cabinet.
"Let's bake some new ones" He says and starts baking. I take Harmony in my arms and we watch him.
"Dada does good" I tell Grayson who watches Luke put the chocolate chips in the dough.
"Here try" Luke gives Grayson a chip and he claps.
"Good?" He asks him and Grayson laughs.
"Dadaaaaada" Harmony yells and Luke gives her one too.
"Good huh?" I ask her and she kisses my cheek.
"Now your cheek is full of chocolate" Luke laughs and cleans my cheek with a tissue.
"Best chocolate kiss ever" I whisper to Harmony and she giggles and snuggles into my arms.
"I think it's time for nap" I explain and take Grayson from the cabinet.
"No" Luke says and I look at him.
"Why?"
"My mom picks them up now"
I wrinkle my forehead.
"Why?"
"Why not?"
"Lukeee!" I say annoyed and he smiles at me.
"Are you ready for some you and me time?" He asks and I smile at him.
"Is that the surprise? A afternoon only for us two?" I ask and he nods.
"Uhm yes! Surprise"
"Thank you!" I kiss his cheek and he takes the twins.
"Now put on your favorite dress" he says and I giggle and run upstairs.
