CHAPTER THIRTY-THREE
PUT A FINGER DOWN IF...Belly and Taylor were even more pissed at Conrad than Juliette was, she'd explain the story as they got ready for their evening out on Nicole's families boat, the three girls spent at least an hour cursing him out.
The three girls walked the dock, dressed in shorts and tank tops on, making it to the boat just in time for the sunset.
Taylor glanced up at the boat, halting her steps as Belly and Juliette turned to her in confusion, with shock written all over her face, Taylor muttered, "Oh, my God."
That's when Belly and Juliette looked up, their jaws dropping as well, "Oh, fuck."
The boat was much larger than the girls anticipated, sharing laughter as they hurried onto the boat like kids, extremely giddy.
Nicole welcomed them with tight hugs, directing them towards the front of the boat where Gigi and a few other girls were sat, eating fresh pizza.
Juliette sat down after she finished hugging the girls hello, she knew them all from the country club, Belly and Taylor sitting beside her.
With the sky darkened, champagne in their system, they sat there with the slight breeze, their hands up in the air, playing a classic game of 'put a finger down'.
Nicole laughed as she spoke, "Okay, put a finger down if you've ever used a stuffed animal to... you know."
Taylor chuckled before putting one finger down, the surrounding girls gawking at her, Taylor shrugged with no care, "His name was Harry Bear Styles. Like..."
Dara laughed shaking her head, sitting up, "Okay, put a finger down if you've ever had sеx." She glanced around, her eyes landing on a hesitant Juliette, "If you've ever been to third? Put a finger down if you've ever gone to second."
Taylor could feel Juliette start to get uncomfortable, every set of eyes on hers, a devious smirk on her pink tinted lips, "Put a finger down if you've ever made out with Jeremiah Fisher."
Juliette put her pointer finger down, the group of girls screaming out of surprise.
"Shut the fuck up!" Dara yelled, smacking her seat with a dropped jaw.
Juliette scrunched her face up, flickering her eyes up to a shocked Gigi, "Um, sorry, Gigi."
"No, it's fine." Gigi shrugged it off, "Give us the tea."
"Um, I mean, there's not much to tell. He's-he's, like, my best friend." Juliette swallowed, getting flashbacks from the night, she could still feel his tight grip on her bare hips.
Nicole moved to the edge of her seat, clearly intrigued, "And when did it start?"
"Um, about a week ago." Juliette hummed, "We kissed in the pool at our house."
"I always had this weird feeling there was something going on between you and Conrad." Nicole giggled, a look of relief of her face.
Juliette gulped, shaking her head, that pit forming in her stomach, "Uh, yeah, no. It's-it's, um... It's just, I... I don't know. I... Yeah, whatever. Enough about Jeremiah."
"Put a finger down if you've ever gone skinny-dipping at Hopper's Cove." Nicole glanced around, raising a brow as she looked between the girls.
Taylor tilted her head to the side, narrowing her eyes at Nicole, "Is that a dare?"
"Absolutely."
The group of teenage girls hurried down the boat, running down the long deck until reaching the more secluded side of Hopper's Cove.
Juliette set her belongings down, her heart beating in her chest as she undressed, the feeling of adrenaline rushing through her as she jumped into the cool water.
She laughed loudly as Belly splashed her, Nicole joining in. Soon,Belly, Taylor, Juliette, and Nicole were in a full splashing fight in time Gigi interrupted.
"Hey, watch out for jellyfish." She warned while kicking her shoes off, "I do not want to have to pee on any of you guys."
"The other two girls missed out." Nicole insisted while leaning back into the water, "I know. I figured Dara wouldn't, but Marissa?"
Gigi paused unbuttoning her shorts as she heard a phone chime, she glanced down, "Nicole. Conrad's texting you."
"Okay, coming." Nicole swam away from the two girls and towards the dock.
Juliette faced her back to Nicole and Gigi, staying afloat while listening to the two girls before her.
"This is so nice. Have to admit, I like your friends." Taylor admitted with a chuckle, hearing Belly's "I told you so" as she looked over at Juliette, "And, they seem down with you and Jeremiah. Even Gigi, whose veins just about exploded when she heard."
Juliette just laughed, dropping her head as she held her forehead in shyness.
The sound of a car engine turning on and flashing headlights had to group of girls spinning around, their lips parting as Nicole and Gigi were gone from sight, most likely speeding off in the small car.
"I knew they were bitches!" Taylor raged, the three girls hurrying to swim to the docks.
Juliette couldn't process what had just happened instead following the two girls, "Wait. What's going on?"
"They took everything." Taylor spat, flipping over Juliette's phone, her face growing more angry, "Except for your phone, which has a really incriminating text from Conbad."
"Wait, what does it say?" Juliette paddled closer to them, gripping the dock ledge with curiosity.
Taylor breathed deeply as she scanned the text, ""My mom did ask me to ask you to the ball, but that's not why I did it. I did it because I wanted to.""
"Oh, my God." Juliette cupped her mouth, her eyes widening.
Belly just shook her head, pushing the girls shoulder gently, "Julie, concentrate."
"Julie." Taylor snapped her fingers in the blondes face as Juliette was chuckling.
"What?" Juliette glanced between them, seeing the annoyance bouncing off of them, "Okay, okay, okay. W-Well, wh-what do we do? I mean, we cannot walk home naked."
Taylor lifted her brows, "It-it could be worse."
"Taylor. What could be worse than this?" Belly crossed her arms, water droplets falling from her face.
Juliette sighed deeply, looking up the dark sky, "We're gonna have to walk home naked."
