"Pandora's Fortunes...""Let Pandora open the box to your soul..."
Where we'd last left off, the two had found themselves taking over a Maid job to pay off their very first debt together. Still, they inevitably found themselves helping a younger girl in desperation, leaving more trouble than they'd gained already.
The next day, Kat and Raiko were shifted in front of a door they'd gone to search for. Their causes were because of receiving word from many of the people who'd come to visit for insight into their future and their dreams and wishes in everyday living.
Pale digits slid against the labeling engraved into sheet metal before the owner gazes towards their partner. "You'd think she'd be able to shed light on our current situation?" He'd ask as the tan shifter looked to the door with determination.
"Of course! If any of the people here can trust in her word, then she can help us without a doubt!"
"Meow!"
without hesitation, the two looked down to see Dusty, whose attentiveness found its mark on the door with Kat.
"Looks like Dusty is curious too. Come on; we've gotta give it a shot." Kat insists, Raiko giving in.
"Alright, alright... Let's go talk to this 'Fortune Teller'." Raiko looks away with a sigh, as she smiles and fist pumps because of his agreement.
Opening the door, it appeared to be rather barren of people, with vacant chairs aligned to a red curtain. The two observed as much as they could from a cracked open door, until opening it to its fullest and walked through.
Walking to the red curtain, Kat was the first to open it, seeing another room covered in dolls of different origins. Some were kept above ground from a thread that was almost impossible to see, and some were kept close to the center, next to a girl with purple hair, who donned an outfit that felt far too exotic to describe.
....I'm saying this now because I have no clue what she was wearing, I swear-
freezing in place, the shifter had spoken up for both of them. "Uhm, Excuse me..." She shyly beckons, as the girl hadn't even looked in their direction yet knew of the two's presence.
"The Shifter and Living Storm, both without a past, adrift on the River of Forgetfulness... I've been expecting you both, Kat and Raiko." She'd say in a forced yet seemingly unnoticeable sultry but mystic tone.
Raiko and Kat were both rather surprised to hear both their name and even their story, without knowing this girl at all. But that wasn't all from the woman, as she'd finally turned to see both Raiko and Kat, whose expressions gave the woman an intrigued smile.

"You are lost... You both seek to ask, "Who am I?" and "Why am I here?" She continues, Raiko stepping out of the curtain that blocked his view as the two had sat down.
"...Well, now that you mention it..." Kat mumbled, Sitting next to Raiko but across from the purple-haired woman.
"And that cat-like creature, your fateful meeting has brought you power..." The woman continued, With Kat's composure escaping astoundment.
