AN: I left and this story has almost reached 1k reads? That is INSANE!

Thank you, guys, so much for the support, I haven't had much time to work on the book due to a lot of personal things going on with me right now, but since I'm learning to make time for my hobbies, we're gonna bring this story back.

Once again, I seriously look forward to making more stories for you guys and finishing this series to the end. Thank you for your patience.

"Raven, P-Please..."

"Who put you two up to this?! Was it Bolsey?! Answer, or I'll...!!"

"Are you working for them?! You'd better not be, or I'll have to take you down too!"

"RAIKO!"

The smashing of rubble had echoed through the Shifter's Psyche, fixating a darkened view towards a blue stream of energy. Inside showed the Blue Streaked Male crying in agony, treated as nothing more than a wrecking ball against the recognizable pillar. His body had tumbled along the pavement without showing any resistance before falling limp. She was reliving the scene, but it hadn't stopped the way it did before.

She couldn't move, as gravity was fighting against her, keeping her firmly planted on the pavement. However, she could see everything as Raiko had lifted off the ground.

'W-Wait... Please stop...!'

The words echoed in her head, with Raiko's blood falling from his nose and dripping onto the floor. Every droplet had become more coherent, slowing time...

He'd finally been thrown off the edge, with Raven's expression seeming colder than ever.

Extending her hand, Raiko would inevitably fade out of her view before falling into the depths below them. She'd lost him. She'd lost her partner, who'd been there for her forever.

But before she could cry after him, everything went white, and her eyes shut before opening to see the tunnels they lived in.

"Raiko!" She yelled, rising to see that Raiko was still unconscious, right next to her. A bandage covered his knuckles, cheek, ribs, and even his leg from the last few altercations, and his nose had been cleaned right away since it was no longer bloody. She cared for him, as she couldn't help but feel she owed him.

She, on the other hand, had fallen asleep in her chair after overexerting herself to tend to both of their wounds from the Rift Plane and Raven. She allowed him to take her bed, as he was in far worse condition than her. Her lack of sleep, on the other hand, stated otherwise.

Looking out of the tunnelway they shared, she gazed up to see that the sky had brightened up a bit, vaguely signifying that it was daylight again. "...It's morning... And you still haven't woken up." She looked over to Raiko, whose face seemed much more peaceful than when he'd fallen to Raven. Walking over, she slowly extended her hand to Raiko's head but felt rather hesitant, her face growing redder from the idea of touching him in a caretaker's way. Eventually, her hand rested on his shoulder, patting him gently with a gentle smile on her face.

"...Please wake soon...Okay?" She gently whispered, before heading to her dresser, and opening one of the shelves. During nightfall, she'd gone through her savings buying bandages and healing salves to dress their wounds properly. Using Raiko's wouldn't have helped either, as most of his gems had gone towards their food for the past three days.

She'd blame herself for that again but internally smiled that Raiko'd been selfless for her hunger.

There was one thing she'd remember that they still had a job they'd worked their hardest on together, One that she genuinely disliked but knew she'd have to cast aside her feelings towards for his sake.
