I stared out the window. The car trip home was short about 10minutes but it felt like eternity.  The car was silent you could hear a pin drop. I couldn't be anymore relieved when we pulled to the driveway. I hopped out and ran to the door. I opened it and rushed past Johanna. She looked at me strangely. Jordan strolled out of the car. Staring at nothing in particular. I ran up the stairs and locked myself in my bedroom

Was I being to dramatic?

I walked to the window and opened the blinds, Finnick and Jordan were talking at the car. They headed towards  the door. Jordan grabbed his bag and headed inside. Finnick whispered to Johanna and then left.

I plopped on my bed their was a knock and Jordan opened it

"What do you want?"

He went to sit down on the bed I stared my dagger eyes at him he ignored and flopped back.

"Sooooo, Lil. Should we just start over"

Tears filled my vision I looked away. I wished I could say yes. But it wasn't that simple. I shook my head

"Fine, Your choice. Just trying to be friendly. But if your happy staring at the paint dry. Your very welcome to. I am going to talk to Finnick about sponsors and the interview. "He yelled

He stroked out of the room and slammed my door behind him. I could hear a conversation happening outside between Jordan and Johanna

"Don't bother, she's to stubborn" Jordan said in a sour tone

Johanna knocked and came in.

"What the hell. He gave you a new start, what else could you want." I frowned "You can't overlook opportunities like this. Not everything is served a gold plate. So you better learn. Because right now you have no friends, family and talent. So change you mood." Johanna stamped her foot down like a angry mother did to a baby throwing a tantrum.

Tears blurred my vision.

Don't cry

Don't cry

Don't cry

I told myself. Johanna could tell she had hurt me so she lit her arm round my shoulders and told me in a sweet voice

"Sweetheart. Now you are going to knock a Jordan's door and tell him a new start would be great. Because you need each other. Your like.....ummmm Yogurt and fruit. Without each other there okay. But combined together make them both taste better. Make any sense" she asked

I nodded and pulled a brave face grabbed a dagger and walked out my door

"No need for the dagger" Johanna called.

I ran to his room and without knocking dawdled  in.

It was like my brothers dream bedroom. Thinking about him made me sad. It had a double bed high ceiling in the shape of a circus tent. Fairy lights hung from the wooden roof. The floor was carpet and had a desk filled with pen and pencils, the best part was the walls. It was fake painted bricks and in all of them was daggers cut in half and glued on the wall to make it look like it had been stabbed.

"Anything you would like to say"

I stared at him

"Yeah. Fine. A new start would be great."

"So your fine with me and ammie"

"That's what you call each other" i asked shocked. He looked at me annoyed "but yeah i', fine" I finished great.

I hugged him and I couldn't ignore the sudden tingles that rushed through my blood.

"Also. Why do yin have a dagger" he asked.

"Lily and Jordan. Your designers are here with your new costume. Come down now." Finnick called. We headed downstairs and asked our fashion designers what we would be wearing for the carriage ride,

"So I thought we could mimic the ocean?" Aiden said

He pulled a matching pants and skirt that was plain black

"The ocean" I asked confused

"Watch and learn" storm said

She pressed a remote, we gasped. There was a long skirt that mimicked the ocean. The greens and blue swirled and the sun rays made the outfit look even better.

"Can you try it now. I want to know if I have the Right sizes." Storm said

We grabbed the outfits and went to our bedrooms to try it on. It fitted perfectly. I walked out and sat down on the couch. Aiden walked over

"Does it fit"

"Perfectly"

I met Jordan, Storm, Finnick and Johanna in the Tv room. His pants were very tight and looked pretty cute.  Storm grabbed a suitcase and handed me a a black t shirt. It was cropped and tight. And had puffy lace sleeves, I pulled it on and walked back in the room smiling.

"Amazing"

He led me to his room and I sat down in the velvet chair. He applied a light pink lip gloss, light blue and green eyeshadow and put I crown that had shells, pearls and silver on it. I slipped on a black boots on and  put many bracelets on my. Gold, silver and blue. I looked fierce, but innocent. Sexy but not a material girl, and most importantly feiry .

I saw Jordan, he had applied blush that made him look like he had spent days at the beach,  he was wearing the same ocean pants but instead of a lace  t shirt was wearing a black leather,  with no shirt. He smiled humourlessly.

He stood close to me our boots touched, his breath warmed my cheek. I leaned in.

"We got this." He grabbed my hands. I stared at me. There was no teasing glint to be found only pure determination. "All we have to do is not stare at anybody and look like we a above all these citizens."

"Finally something I'm good at"I sighed

"Hey guys you ready, Cause it's time." Johanna said excitedly

Jordan and I ran to the door and hopped in the limo. We rode past the other tributes house and to the centre of the capital. We hurried to our rooms and Finnick and Johanna took their seats in the stadium, Aiden added 2 more accessories on me. A ugly choker and a pair of heels. Blue and Silver they twisted up my legs halfway up my calfs.

I met Jordan talking to 'Ammie' who was wearing a pink silky singlet and a warrior skirt that was silver. Blair was talking to his mentor so I went over to him and started talking

"Nervous" I asked

"You wish" he countered

We discussed what was their strategies. They were going to act like the world was beneath them and as if every one loved them. Blair made a joke how Amethyst didn't need to try.

"She's nice but can get on my nerves" he admitted

The siren went signalling that we had to get reading.

The ceremony had started!
