Dedicated to @shorsconverse for being the first to vote on my previous chapter. 😇

Ross' point of view.

It's been a week now. The doctors have told us that she's going to be fine. Laura is currently under human surveillance so that she doesn't try to end her precious life once again. She's back at home, but she's not exactly well just yet.

I haven't told her that I forgive her, even though I do, because I don't think I should say anything to her yet. I want her to get better first. I don't want to put any unnecessary stress or pressure on her anytime soon. I want her to fully recover, so that I can be with her all the time without having to worry if she'll pass out or become unstable around me.

All I have to wait is about a month or so. Possibly less than that. Hopefully less than that.

I've been ringing her over the phone. The doctors said its okay for me to do that. Just nothing too extreme that might stress her out.

I look at the time; seven thirty. I grab my phone and dial her number, pressing the phone to my ear awaiting her to answer. She picks up after the third ring.

"Hello?" Her sweet voice answers. I close my eyes. I know that she won't leave anytime soon, but just to hear her voice and to know that she isn't gone forever is a relief.

"Hey Laura," I reply, my tone slightly cheerful. I hear someone's faint voice in the background, their words muffled due to the fact that they aren't within speaking distance of the phone I suppose.

"Uh," Laura's voice is unsure, "so, what's up?"

"Not much. I was wondering if you're feeling better or not?" I ask, fingering the threads of my blanket.

"Why, are you concerned?" She asks, the phone muffling. Maybe she's walking around.

"I, uh," I start, "I was wondering if you wanted to hang out."

"Oh, uh, yeah," she says, sounding unsure once again, "sure. When and where?"

"I'll text it to you. You sound busy..." I trail off, a hint of sadness in my tone. Before she can say anything else, I pull the phone away from my ear and hang up. I stare at my phones screen as it fades to black.

Soon, the screen lights back up and my ringtone plays.

Hit me baby one more time!

I continue to stare at the screen, enjoying the picture of Laura and I hugging. She was holding a big stuffed teddy bear that I got her once. She was grinning like a Cheshire Cat and I was smiling widely, loving being in the presence of Laura.

In the background you can see the park trees and the bright green grass. I can even see a few people riding bicycles.

But what really captures my attention is how Laura is staring at me. Her eyes are sparkly and glistening and they seem to be somewhat looking at my lips.

Her beautiful brown eyes. They're like a puppies eyes. Such a gorgeous shade of brown. She's such a gorgeous shade of Marano. Wait, that doesn't make sense. She's the more gorgeous Marano. Yeah, that makes sense. Wait. Yeah. Yeah, that does make sense. I'm acting like such a blonde, wow.

While all of this thought was happening, I didn't notice that the screen had gone black, followed by it glowing up again with a missed call notification.

(1) Missed call from Lauraaaa💗

I sigh, locking my phone and lying back on my bed. My phone drops to the floor beside my bed and I close my eyes.

It's so early, but I'm so tired. I've been spending the entire day worrying about if Laura would want to hang out with me or not.

I probably sound like such a school girl worrying about if my crush likes me back or not.

Wow, I really do seem like a little school girl. I need to get my head back to normal.
