"What? It was right here!" Amelia exclaimed. The officer sighed. "Well, it ain't there no more. Since there's nuthin' for me to do here, I'm leaving," the officer stated matter of factly. Jason glared at him, furious. "SHE DID DIE!" He raged at the policeman. Then he broke down and started crying. Amelia put a hand on his shoulder again, unsure of what to do. Exasperated, the officer threw his hands up in the air. "My God, it ain't there and that's that! You're all coming to the station with me for a FRAUD! Now come along, kids," he spat. The teens followed him into the car while Amelia thought hard. She had to tell Jason about the strange stuff in her house. Maybe that had something to do with their death. But Amelia knew that ghosts weren't real, so who had killed them? Amelia was beginning to doubt herself and everything she had thought she knew. Maybe it was time to think about that. What if everything she had learned was a lie? It was up to her to find out. She looked at Jason. His face was red and stained with tears. Amelia took a deep breath. "Jason, I need to tell you something important."
