This chapter takes place a day before the chapter "Something special" and is in Donnie POV

Loud snoring could be heard from the room as I opened my eyes. It was 8:30 AM in the morning, I stood up and went to the kitchen as usual

I saw a cup of coffee someone left on the table with a purple note

Hey Donnie good morning! Noticed you wake up early in the morning too to do some work? Is it work?? But anyway I hope you have a great day

I smiled at the note, I wanted to try doing that too. As soon as I drank some of the coffee it felt like I was in heaven, I loved the way Y/N made her coffee

Time skip

I was finding out a way back to our timeline as usual until Mikey went over to me "Something wrong?" I say not looking away from my device

Mikey sighed and sat down beside me, there was an akward silence for a few moments "Is it.. my fault were stuck here?" that made me stop what I was doing.

"Mikey, I-" I didn't know what to say, that question really caught me off guard. I hugged Mikey and rubbed his back "Dont worry, it wasn't" I could feel him shaking

"It's okay.." I continued to rub his back "I have an idea, what if we try using your power again? See if it works?" I was still hugging him as he was sniffing

"O-okay" Mikey rubbed his eyes and stood up smiling softly at me. He followed me to the rooftop to try to see if his power works again

It was empty when we reached there, which was a good thing. "Okay, try focusing on opening a portal" I told him as I was watching from the side

He breathed in and out and closed his eyes trying to open a portal, I could see that he was struggling to make a portal appear

I was watching but then suddely a small orange light appeared out of nowhere, I gasped as it kept getting bigger and bigger in a really slow pace.

Mikey stopped "Oof!" He fell on the floor, I ran to him "Are you okay? Are you hurt anywhere?" I looked around his body to see if there was any bruises

"Nope just tired, whew!" Mikey sighed "Hmm it seems like you need a lot of energy for you to open a portal, you almost got it open though" I smirked

"OMIGOSH! Really?!" Mikey was jumping up and down as I nodded "IM GONNA GO TELL THE OTHERS" Mikey ran down "Careful! You might fall" I shouted

I sat down at the corner of the rooftop enjoying the view but then ny phone rang, I answered

"You are conversing with Donatello" I said with a smile

"DONATELLO . WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU?!" A female voice shouted, I took the phone away from me and put the speaker on

"Well, about that hehe.." I laughed nervously

"WHAT?! TELL ME RIGHT NOW." She shouted

"We maybe not or maybe did accidentally go to the future.." I said in a whisper way. There was a long silence

"April you take it" I heard her say "Donnie, why are you guys in the future? You have us all worried you know" April asked

"What happened was.." I told them the whole story about how it happened

"Wow." That was all she said "wow"

"I know it's a lot to take in but don't worry we'll be back soon I promise" I reassured them

"You better be, or I'll go there myself." The female voice said before ending the call. I sighed and lied down on the floor looking at the clouds

I wonder how I can still communicate with them even though I'm in the past, guess sone questions really can't be answered.
