ADDISON

Dear Diary,

I was named this season's Diamond nearly a week ago. I haven't had time to write here because I have been so busy with callers coming over and Sir Thomas attempting to court me, yes I said attempting. I have a date with Sir Thomas today, he will be meeting Lady D and I where the horse racing takes place. The reason I'm being skeptical of him though, is because he is perfect in every way possible. I mean it seems almost too easy. The scary part is I don't belong here and easy seems to disguise the fate of misery. I don't want to cause any problems, I just need to find a way to get back home. That is all for today though.

After I put away my diary, I continued getting dressed. I wore one of the six pairs of pearl earrings I bought, and a mint green gown fit for the occasion. I know wearing gloves is a bit much but I wore them anyway... besides I'm already the talk of the town and high maintenance is expected of me. I went to my room door to look for Katherine, but she was nowhere in sight. As I was about to close my room door, I heard her sweet angelic voice. 

"Mistress, are you alright?" She asked looking away from the next maid

"I am in need of some assistance?!?" I said but it came out more of a question 

"If you would excuse me" She said coming towards me. I walked into my room and waited for her to come in as well. "Addison... are you alright?" She questioned quietly after the door was shut

"I think so" I frowned "It's just... I- I uh- I need to see Mr. Hargreeves again this evening" I said to her

"Well if you must... I will be glad to assist you" She said swiftly 

"You're not questioning my choices today?" I smirked 

"I realized that being your ladies maid is one of the most exhilarating things that I have experienced since I was a child" She smiled eagerly

"If I am not offending you, how old are you?" I asked her 

"W-what as in my age?" She questioned and I nodded "Twenty and three" She smiled 

"Well it must be fitting that you are a big sister to me" I smiled at her "I know it's wrong to get too close with your ladies maid, but where ever I go here in London, there will always be a place for you" I smiled over at her 

"I appreciate you" She said hugging me "Come on now, we have to get you down stairs it's about time for you to be on your way" She came over ushering me to the door "Addison, if I am being honest, a sister is exactly what you treat me like... even if I want to strangle you sometimes" She chuckled as did I. 

I know a bond this close is dangerous for a person like me, that is why I did not share everything with her about my personal life, only things that occur here in the year 1814.

"Addison, I urge you to be on your best behavior today" Lady Danbury said as we approached Mrs. Bridgerton 

"Hello beautiful ladies" Greeted Mrs. B

"Hello" Both Lady D and I greeted back as Sir Thomas approached us 

"Good afternoon beautiful ladies" He smiled at us "I would like to take a walk with Miss Riverdale if that is alright with you" He said now looking at Lady D

"Take your time" She smiled at him as he took my hand and we walked ahead of them 

"I'm glad to see you again" Sir Thomas smiled down at me
