『••••』

USUALLY, WHEN ISABELLE FRANCESCA WINCHESTER FELL ASLEEP, she'd dream of herself being in a fully black and empty void, her voice echoing and nothing else surrounding her. It only felt like she'd been in there for a few minutes, but when she'd wake up, it was already the next morning. This time was the same, she opened her eyes and was in the void.

Her feet splashed through the lukewarm water, her socks soaking with the water. She looked around her and began to walk like she usually did. Then, her foot caught onto something and she fell face first to the floor, squeezing her eyes shut as she began to fall.

This time, water didn't splash. Her palms were flat on what felt like cold concrete. She opened her eyes to see a few vines laying on the floor in front of her. She realized she was outside in front of her house near the driveway. Something about it felt off-- different. She got up, looking at her surroundings. Her house was covered in those same vines.

The sky was darkened and little particles were floating all around. She began walking toward the wide-open door. As soon as she walked inside, she was stepping on shards of glass and pieces of debris.

It looked just like her normal house, except all the glass was basically shattered, vines were covering mostly everything, the air was extremely thick, and some things were different. She walked past one of their normal family portraits, but taking a second look, she realized there was a burn mark where her mother's face was, making a hole right in the middle.

She found this odd since that wasn't how her actual family portrait looked. She felt way stronger and more energized than she usually did. Suddenly, she heard loud footsteps once she got into the living room, and a slam of the front door. Her heart dropped to her stomach as she thought that she was the only one there.

She quickly ran into one of the corners of the living room, hearing her dad talking indistinctly even though he hadn't been there. "Yeah, no, she's sleeping upstairs."

"Dad!" Bella called. "Dad, where are you? Help me!" She screamed, the footsteps stomping getting exceptionally louder and louder. She looked into the hallway, seeing a shadow of something tall and unreal, larger than any human she's ever seen before.
