After the incident that killed her parents, Violet comes back to Cape May. This strange town and her parents house is all that's left of them that she can't leave.
As weird things start happening to her, she meets Alex and his four friends.
When she gets closer to them, she realizes that all five of them have the same birth mark as her but in different places on their bodies.
When many secrets get revealed she doesn't know what or who to believe, but she knows in her heart that Alex would never lie to her and she decides to believe her instincts and joins them on their adventure for the ceremony that has to take place in order for them to finally have their powers.
Only ones personality can define what power he/she will get, but the ceremony will not be that easy.
