As though he read my mind Nick clears his throat and starts, "As I mentioned yesterday, I need to explain the ceremony." I nod as he continues.

"Well those like us have to perform a ceremony once we all come together as a group. There are steps for the ceremony that will take place and it's all written in the notebook. Once we complete it we will be blacked out for a few hours and we will wake up with supernatural powers, no one knows what power they will have. Also some specific powers can't be made towards the members in our group. The first rules for the ceremony is for us to vow to never hurt anyone in our group, verbally or physically. We're all together in this so we should act like it, also if we make a vow we will be cursed if we break it." I take time to take it all in and nod a several times.

"When will we do the ceremony then?" I ask, "We can do it whenever but to take things slow you can learn a few spells and when it's time we can start." he says and I appreciate how he thinks of those small details.

"Thank you, we can start with it next week if it's okay," and they all nod. "Can I see the notebook? " I ask hesitantly and Nick stand up to get it for me.

It's a black leather notebook that has a transparent square in the middle of it and it's worn out on the sides. "You have to place the transparent place of the notebook on your birthmark for it to recognize you so that you can open it, but if anyone else tries to open it other than us it will be locked to them," Nick explains.

I look at Alex for help to place the notebook on my birthmark and he seems to read my thoughts as he comes and waits for me to pull the sleeves of my shirt down to reveal my birthmark. he gently places the notebook on it and it makes a clicking sound even though there's no visible lock on it. I thank him with a smile and take the notebook, it's filled with spells and drawings and some pages are in a native language.

I flip through the pages as the others start their own conversations and I appreciate that their eyes aren't on me, because it makes me nervous when people stare at me. I see a picture of a cabin that looks exactly like ours and a spell under it, seeing my confusion Daniel says "This spell is to get the cabin out of the notebook and into life for us to stay in, there's a reverse spell right under it to put it back in there and take it out wherever we want to." this information leaves me in shock and I can't fathom how all of this happens and I probably never will.

"Oh, and how about this one?" I ask him about the picture of a man I saw with the description of a demon, "That's a demon and there are two spell under it, one of which will awaken all of them in the region and the other will be used to kill one as a group if it does us any harm." 'why would there be one to awaken them though?' I think to myself.

"But it looks human," I say with confusion, and he takes the notebook out of my hand and holds it horizontally to the side and a shape of dark with bright red eyes takes my vision and I can't help the sharp intake of my breath.

"Not everyone that look human are harmless," he whispers. I just stare at him then slowly take the notebook to look more through it. I reach a page that's near the end with the title 'In Caerimonia' which has to be the ceremony, the page is all in a native language so I can't understand any of it.

Before my mind can register it I ask Daniel "What language is this?" He smirks "It's Latin," "Do you all know Latin?" "Nope, apart from Nick he knows some but we just know enough to do the spells," he answers and I nod, well that's good because I'd rather not learn another language.
