Six.{memory}

~Violet~

After Iris leaves to her room I quickly fall asleep dreaming of green eyes but it doesn't last long when the familiar sound of my dads alarm goes off.

I wake up and walk to my parents room only to find Alex there trying to turn the alarm off. I walk to him and grab the small clock and turn it off.

"Sorry it happened a few times before but I removed it and it looks like it didn't work much," i sigh "It happened before?" He questions. "Yes, why do you think?" I ask "It may be the house informing us that there's a great force inside, meaning it's us." he shrugs and walks out of the room. I follow him out and mumble a goodnight, so does he before closing his rooms door. I quickly fall asleep after I fall to my bed.

I wake up to find Iris and Nick jumping on my bed. "Get up Violet! It's noon, enough sleeping!" Iris screams right next to my ear. I groan and put the pillow over my head but their jumping seems endless so I roll out of bed and end up on the floor with my pillow and blanket.

When I'm happy that they're no longer jumping I get picked up from the floor, I yell with plea for Nick to drop me, he says okay and drops me on another bed. Which happens to be Alex's bed, "Couldn't you guys just let me sleep off the whole day?!" I groan and get out of the bed pulling Alex's hand, if I'm not sleeping then he isn't either.

"Sorry Violet but we kinda have to eat also Daniel and Theo might be here any minute," Nick explains with a sweet tone that doesn't make me want to punch him anymore for waking me up.

"Fine," I sigh and pull on Alex's hand more. "Help me out?" I ask Iris and Nick with a smirk and they happily oblige as we all pull him out of his bed. "What the-" I hear Alex just as we all fall to the floor his weight on all of us.

I miss this, I miss having fun, I'm so glad they're here. "Ugh, why would you guys do that?" Alex says groggily, "Come on big guy, you've been sleeping half the day. You should thank god we didn't wake you both up at 6 am." Iris says with a smirk playing on her lips.

"Alright well I'm going downstairs to prepare breakfast. Care to help?" I motion for Iris and we both head downstairs after I head to the bathroom first.

We make the perfect breakfast just as Theo and Daniel walk in from the back door, "Good morning - or shall I say afternoon," Theo exclaims and sits down on the counter, as for Daniel, he just smiles and heads to the living room. "Good afternoon!" Iris and I faux exclaim to match his happiness and he smiles happily.

Iris and I make pancakes, eggs, toast and all things imaginable and we call out to the boys. We all eat silently with a few remarks on how good the food is, I secretly glance at Alex a few times but he seems off, which reminds me that I have to ask him if he's alright.

I take my plate to the sink just as he appears behind me, "Would you like to go somewhere today?" He asks to my surprise, "yes sure," I answer him timidly. "Be ready around 6." he whispers and heads back to the table.

The day passes fast and it's 5 pm which means that I have to get ready before Alex and I head out. I quickly take a shower, and wear my black jeans with a floral designed sweatshirt and my black converse. I'm not the one that puts makeup although I do love mascara, so I just put some on and knock on Alex's door.

"I'm ready," I inform him as he opens the door, he smiles and motions me towards the exit of the house. We silently go to his car and head towards the beach. It is in walking distance to my house yet he decided to go with a car.

We reach in a few minutes and get out of the car welcomed by the chilly weather. I follow him to the sea side, we sit down by the sea that nearly reaches our feet. I wonder why he brought me here..
"I come here to clear my mind off, especially around those days when the weather is cold and no one else is here and the sound the waves make, it's just calming." he explains, I like how he has no filter when he talks to me, it makes me feel as though he likes opening up to me. "Its beautiful," I simply tell him.

"Can you teach me some spells?" I ask after a few minutes, "of course," he smiles, and seems to be thinking for a while then he speaks again, "Repeat after me 'Ostende mihi quid viderit' " this time we just say it once and I can see him from afar stepping to the sands but when I look to my right he's still sitting next to me and looking at me.

I'm confused for a second, he should've given me a heads up. I can see myself behind him and its us doing the exact movements we were doing when we first came here. "I come here to clear my mind off, especially around those days when the weather is cold and no one else is here and the sound the waves make, it's just calming." I hear Alex say the words he said to me just moments ago, this is really weird.

Everything goes the same and I open my eyes to find myself in the same place, "That was .." I try to form a coherent sentence but fail, I'm speechless as to what we all are able to do just by saying a few words.

"Incredible," He finishes my sentence and I nod still in shock. "Can you show me another one?" I ask with hopeful eyes, he nods and asks "Do you want to relive a memory?" I nod, but can't help the uneasy feeling I get. "ne pati praeterita in memoriam," he says, I repeat after him once.

When I open my eyes I'm at home. I can see a small girl, it takes me a moment to realize that she's me. I look to my right to see my parents talking about something, I can't quite make out the words. Can they see me? "Violet who's your friend over there?" My mom asks my small self as she looks at me, or through me? I'm not so sure. I look at little Violet and she starts running towards me and stops right behind me, I turn around to see a boy around two years older than me.

"This is Theo, I met him yesterday in the park, he's really sweet to me."-she says holding his hand- "and also he has the same mark as me!" She squeals with excitement.
Oh my god, Theo, I knew I recognized him but I still don't know who he is. My parents rush to them, "Theo I think you should go home now dear," my mom says and picks little Violet up. "Violet we don't want you seeing him again alright?" She says earning a nod as Theo rushes out of the door.
They leave little me in the living room to play as they head to their room, "James, we can't let her know. We can't let her be in that - that little circle of theirs, she can't ever be a part of them. She will be in danger. We can't ever let her know that Theo is her brother." I hear my mom say with anger.

Did I hear that right? Theo is my brother? I can't think straight, how is that possible?

"Don't worry dear, I'll let Georgie take him to a town away from here. I knew keeping him this close would turn out bad, both of them will never know about anything." I hear my dad assure her. Why? I can't help the tears that run down my cheeks, I feel betrayed. Why wouldn't they tell me? I don't understand. "I love him, I do. But in order to keep them both safe we can't let them meet each other or the rest of them." my mom cries to my dads shoulder. I can't help the sob that escapes me, for a second they both look my way and start walking towards me.
