Eight. {the beach}

I get in my car and head to the beach, I know for sure that he's there, he has to be. I reach the beach in minutes, and sigh in relief when I see his car, so I park my car next to his and get out. I walk to the shore in search for him, and see a figure sitting quiet far from where I am.

I decide to use one of the spells he taught me today, I try to recall the words in my head and whisper "ibi deducet me". In the blink of an eye I'm standing right next to him, he seems startled because he slightly jumps.

"Alex," I whisper at the same time he says "Violet,". "You first," we both say again and I laugh, "Go on," I whisper, mostly because I want to know if what he will say effect what I have to tell him.

He stands up and takes my hands in his, "I- uh I know we just met a few days ago, but I know in my heart that there's something that's gravitating me to you. I can't get you out of my mind and it's killing me not being with you. I don't know what it is that I feel towards you, but I know that it's something great and I'm dying to know where it will lead us. You might not feel the same way and I will understand. All I want from you is the truth and we will see where our feelings and our destiny will take us after then. I just want to be looking at you and prove to myself and to the rest of the world that you're mine and only mine for that matter. I do not know where this confession of mine will lead us but I just want you to give me a chance, please." His confession has me weak to my knees and my eyes start tearing up because of his beautiful words.

I want to cry but mostly I want to kiss him, "I - I feel the same way," I simply say before he hugs me. My face rests on his chest and his face is buried into my hair, I can stay like this forever if I could. "What will happen now?" I timidly ask, he holds my chin up so I could look at him. "I want us to get to know each other, and we will see where that will lead us. Also I would like to take you out on a date first," he adds with a cheeky smile and I can't help but pinch his cheek. I rest my hand on his face as he puts his hand over mine, I could get lost just staring at his eyes.

I still can't fathom how he has feelings for me, it almost seems impossible. How can an angel like you have feelings for me? I want to ask but I know I'll sound pathetic so instead I keep staring into his eyes. "Lets go home," he whispers before pressing a kiss to my forehead.

He takes my hand and leads us to our cars, we make our way behind each other to the house. We reach the house to find everyone else inside, chatting in the kitchen. Nick spots us and silences everyone else, "I wanted to tell you that we will start the ceremony tomorrow, at least the vows and the first step, so after school and work"- he says towards Daniel-" lets meet in the cabin," he finishes off and we all nod, and everyone else turns back to their conversation.

Iris comes next to me and takes my hand heading to my bedroom, "What happened?" She asks eagerly. "Well he said that he has feeling for me and that he would want more for us and of course I agreed," I mumble, "Did he kiss you or something?" She asks again, I shake my head, "such a bonehead," she says rolling her eyes with a smirk. His confession was more than enough for me.

I need to change the subject, so I take the book from my bag and put it on my bed. Iris looks confused so I tell her everything, starting from the memory, and to my surprise she listens but asks a flood of questions once I'm finished. "When are you going to tell them?," She asks in between other million questions, "I was thinking tonight but I'm not so sure." She nods and then loud noises from downstairs makes us jump.

We hurry downstairs to find Alex holding Theo by the neck, his back to the wall. "I swear I have no feelings towards her, she's all yours dude. I was just messing around with you." Theo screams with surrender, that makes Alex calm down a bit. Daniel comes next to me and whispers, "the fight is about you princess," why would they fight because of me?

Alex snarls and pushes him further into the wall, I have to stop him before anything happens, Theo is my brother after all. "Alex, stop!" I say going next to them, "Theo is my brother." I say and he stops, all eyes fixed on me. "What?" I hear both Alex and Theo mutter. Alex backs away from him and takes my hand in his, Theo still in shock, "I'll explain everything, please just settle down," I assure him.

I head to the living room and take a seat, Theo stands in front of me and motions for me to start explaining. "I knew first when Alex and I made the spell to relive a memory and my memory was of us when we were little. I took you home, our parents got mad and sent you back to your house. Our parents didn't want to give you away, but I heard my mom saying that she had to, since making the circle was dangerous for us and bad things would happen. They didn't want us to meet, I don't know why but they didn't want both of us to be caught up in this." I gesture my hand towards everyone and pause to give him time to take it all in,

"How do you know all this isn't just a trick of the mind?" He questions, "that's what I thought too, so I checked the book 'Lines of Family' and next to my name was a name that was smudged but I did a spell to reveal it and there it was, your name." I explain as he takes a seat, his head in his hands. I stand up and walk to him, putting my hand on his back, he looks up startled. "I don't know why any of that had to happen, but we're family Theo, I know we just met but you're my brother and the only family I have left." I mutter softly, then he gets up and hugs me - I can't help but get the feeling that makes me feel like I'm home - in arms of my only family.

"Can I see the book?" He asks after letting me go, I nod and get it from my bedroom. He opens it and sighs with relief when he sees his name, but confusion still overtakes his features. "Well Daniel and I better get back to the cabin, don't wanna be late for school tomorrow," he says casually and ruffles my hair before going out the door, Daniel shoots me a wink and follows after Theo.

"I'm sorry Vi, I didn't know he was your brother, I definitely wouldn't have done what I did if I knew," he says and takes me in his arms as I press my head to his chest. "It's alright, but what were you guys going on about?" I ask and raise my head to look at him, "it's nothing, don't worry about it." he shrugs, I want to ask more but I'm too tired so I just nod and hug him one last time before going to my room.
