3: A MINOR HICCUP

━━━ [Y/N] TAPPED THEIR FINGERS ON THE TABLE,

impatiently waiting for Professor Port's lesson to end. He was telling one of his stories again and [Y/N] completely lost interest. They turned to look over at their teammates only to find Mammon dozing off, Jirou looking bored and Naoto listening.

"Mammon! Stop falling asleep!" [Y/N] yelled in a hushed tone

They shook the white-haired boy sitting next to them, trying to wake him up. He lifted his head from his arms, his eyes still half—closed from drowsiness.

"Ugh... I can't help it.." Mammon groaned.

[Y/N] glanced at the clock to find out that there was one minute left of the lesson. [Y/N] lifted their head to see Jaune slide over to where Weiss was sitting.

"So, Weiss, y'know, uh, I—I was thinking after this, maybe we could go grab a bite to eat?" Jaune stammered out. He turned to the teacher for a second before turning back to Weiss, "And, uh um, I—I've got two tickets to that newSpruce Willis movie if you wanna make the trip to Vale. I hear it's awesome." His words had no effect, "Aaaand maybe after that, we could study together? I mean, you're smart and I'm, uh... Y'know..."

Just then the bell rang, interrupting Professor Port in his story. When [Y/N]'s team heard the bell ring, they shot up from their seats

"And then I—Oh. Timed that one wrong, I guess. Well, the stunning conclusion to this story will have to wait. Until next time!" Port said, dismissing everyone.

"Weiss? Uhh... Did you hear me?" Jaune asked.

Weiss, not looking at Jaune responded, "No, no, no, yes."

Upon hearing this, Jaune groaned and face—planted into his desk. As Team [Y/I]JMN and the rest of team RWBY walked out of class behind him, Yang ruffled Jaune's hair without even looking.

"One day," Yang said.

With that, everyone excited the class with Ruby and the rest of the team and headed to their dorm room to get ready. When they all got to Team RWBY's dorm, they all prepared for the investigation of the White Fang's recent activities. The girls had been getting busy readying themselves as they had put on some less admirable clothes than the regular battle garments that they usually wore. 

[Y/N] wore a yellow shirt with a black "X" design and a red tattered scarf, and yellow and light blue sneakers with matching laces. They were wearing a golden chain bracket on their right wrist and a metal bracket on their left wrist.

Jirou decided to wear a sleeveless black coat with a high collar that separates into several strands at the waist, a purple sleeveless turtleneck top with red buttons and a gold chain, dark purple gloves with red straps, a red fanny pack with three zippers, and black pants with purple accents.
