Chapter 1: "Violet Fits" Part 3/4
He can turn into a dog, too? I wonder if he can transform into other animals... I'm assuming he can only turn into green animals.
My thoughts are forgotten when Victor says, "There's a sonic analyzer built into my arm. If she's around, I'll hear it."
My interest is hooked, and I observe as he slides up his sleeve on his right arm. The robotic part is the same light blue color as the mechanics on his face except his hand is white with gray parts. In the middle of his forearm is a black panel. He pushes a button near the panel causing the screen to come to life.
"Good," Robin affirms.
Suddenly, Beast Boy reverts to his human form and claims loudly, "I got her trail!"
After he relays the information, he once again transform into a blood hound. We stare at him sniffing the ground until the sensor on Victor's right arm begins to transmit a beating sound of a heart.
Victor explains the sound by saying, "And I can hear her heartbeat."
Well then, let's go!
We begin to follow Beast Boy while hearing the pulse of her heart increase in sound. We approach a building with "Video" spelled across the roof in gold letters. The video store currently displays a huge hole in its wall. We enter through the gaping hole to find the girl munching away at the popcorn and candy. We gradually approach her to avoid frightening her into attacking us.
"Uhh... those taste better without the wrapper," Beast Boy informs the tall, tan girl.
She drops the popcorn while wiping her mouth, and as she turns toward us, she summons her energy onto her hands and her eyes. She roars out a battle cry causing us to lean away from her. On my right, I can see Beast Boy hide slightly behind Robin, who raises his arms in front of his chest as a gesture portraying peace.
To elaborate that we mean no harm, Robin states calmly, "It's all right. We're friends remember?"
She advances while hovering in the air, and the rest of my group and I create distance between us and her.
"Friends? Why? For what purpose did you free me?" she demands.
Robin explains, "Just trying to be nice."
"Nice? We do not have this word on my planet. Closest is rutha: weak," she counterattacks.
Ugh, she's making it more difficult than it should be. I'm tired of this goose chase.
Behind me, Victor takes over the conversation by adding, "Well around here, nice means nice, and if you want us to keep being nice, you better tell us why the lizard king took you prisoner."
Lizard king? That's actually better than what I thought they looked like. Oh... sadness is radiating from her.
I watch as she loses her anger along with the green glow in her hands and eyes. She plants her feet on the ground and looks down at the ground while holding her hands in front of her body.
She clarifies, "Not prisoner. I am prize. The Gordanians deliver me to the Citadel to live out my days as their servant."
I was right... Who's the Citadel though?
Wondering, I drawl, "And the Citadel are..."
"Not nice," she finishes my sentence and glances toward us.
Robin approaches her while declaring, "Then you're not going with them. Not if I have anything to say about it."
As Robin speaks, I see Beast Boy walk forward slightly behind Robin's right flank.
