Chapter 1: "Violet Fits" Part 2/4

"Stand down," Robin directs towards Beast Boy and the mysterious hooded man.

Red light demands, "What do you think, you the boss or something?"

From his rude dictate, I can deduce he's African-American with a deep voice.

He must be older than the rest of us. Not by much though.

"Just give me a chance," Robin retaliates smoothly.

I shift my gaze from the floor to Robin approaching the girl surrounded by blazing fires, dilapidated buildings, and destroyed cars. When he's a few feet away from being able to touch her, he is frightened back by her swift motion of standing up and branding her fists.

"Gokta!" she yells.

"Easy. My name is Robin, and I don't want to hurt you. I just want to help," he replies cooly while slowly reaching into his yellow belt that has many pockets on the sides.

She shifts into a fighting stance in case Robin tries to harm her. He brings his hands in front of him to show her the object.

She pushes her fists in front of his view while yelling, "Gokta! Gokta buhonva!"

Even if he were trying to render her unconscious, she wouldn't be able to hold for more than a minute. She's breathing in rapidly and laboriously.

He holds up a lock pick and eases her anger by stating, "It's okay. Look."

She scrutinizes his smiling face and his raised hand with the lock pick until she relaxes and loses the radiating light of her green eyes. Robin gently pushes her arms down to be able to work comfortably on her handcuffs. As he twists and tugs, she stares at his facial features. After he succeeds, the handcuffs fall onto the floor creating a small crater. He quickly shifts his left foot to the side to prevent the handcuffs crushing his toes into fragments. She massages her wrists while staring at the handcuffs on the road.

"There. Now maybe we can be-" before Robin can finish his sentence, she grabs his collar and presses her lips to his for a long kiss.

Flustered and surprised, he drops the lock pick and stares at her closed eyes during the kiss.

Awkward...

Suddenly, she shoves him on his chest away from her and onto the rough ground. Catching him off guard for the second time, she begins to speak in English.

"If you wish not to be destroyed, you will leave me alone!" she demands.

Isn't she full of surprises. Hmm, I thought she couldn't speak English though...

He remains sitting on the ground shocked as she lifts off the ground and flies away disappearing into the night sky shining brightly with stars. I approach behind Robin carefully along with the other two, but I keep my distance from all three.

Why did she kiss him and leave so suddenly? So... confusing.

"So... I'm Beast Boy. Who are you?" he speaks while delivering a huge grin at the hooded man beside him.

I glance at the hooded character as he shifts his view towards Beast Boy.

"Victor," he mumbles softly.

They glance towards me. Beast Boy walks towards me and positions himself in front of me.

"So... how about you?" he asks as his face transforms into an expression of confusion, but he easily disguises it with a smile.
