What the heck?!

Automatically, I yank my right wrist free from the tight hold and target my cold gaze to the owner of the hand; however, I'm thrown down a flight of stairs. As I crash onto the hard floor, I continue to roll. My tumbling is stopped by a boulder that jabs into my ribs. Disorientated and in little pain, I cautiously stand up and scour for my aggressor at the summit of the stairs, but I spot no one there nor the door.

Lucky... I'll have a bruised rib later, but the doors dematerialize here. Perfect. Just perfect.

I look around me, and I find her with her back facing me. Heading in her direction, I notice columns of rocks that reach incredible heights surrounding us. Others are small pillars while some are mere pebbles.

"Hey, who are you?! What are you doing here?!" I yell upset with being pushed down some stairs in my own mind.

How did she get here down so quickly? Did she teleport?

Acknowledging my shouted question, she gradually turns around. I stay rooted to my spot because I'm stunned at the sight before me. The young, slender woman with blue, almost black, shoulder length hair and ashen-colored skin is standing amidst purple, jagged rocks, and black, bare trees underneath a green, cloudy sky. The most disturbing fact though is she looks entirely like me from the top of my head to the tip of my toes.

How's that possible?

"Shit. It took you long enough. What were you waiting for? For Azar to appear and whisk you back home?! Or for your sixteenth birthday six months from now?! Fucking Metrion! What were you thinking, you fool?" shouts the vulgar, loud female dressed in the same t-shirt and tights like me except her clothing is brown.

Even if she's a spitting image of me, who does she think she is speaking to me like that?! She does have the same voice as me though! The only difference are the eyes... Her irises are brown unlike my violet eyes.

She heads towards me until only a small boulder is between us. Suddenly, she lightly hops onto the rock in front of her while placing all her upper weight on her sock-covered right foot and crossing her arms over her chest. Her insolent facial expression settles on me in a challenge to see if I will retaliate. I rebuff the provocation in a calm manner, yet I'm infuriated at her choice of diction. I mimic her stance thinking it will throw her off her guard.

"I'm sorry. I don't know who you are, or why you resemble me, but I will not tolerate the ill-mannered way you treated and spoke to me, impudent brat. You should watch what leaves your mouth or cease using your tongue. Offensive language is rude and-" I reprimand in a composed voice, but I stop mid-sentence with a word resonating through my mind.

Rude.

She begins to laugh in a devilish manner. She positions her hands on her waist and leans towards me. I stare at her face inches from mine noticing her hazel eyes, and an epiphany strikes my mind.

"You're named Rude, aren't you? Better yet, you're the rude aspect of me," I direct the statement at her.

It explains why she looks like me, why she is within my mind, and knows about my current situation.

She straightens her posture and leaps off the rock to land in front of me. Cautious, I take a step back without breaking eye contact. She stares at me while wearing a normal, almost amicable, smile, which shows her teeth.
