I nervously drummed my fingers on my lap while sitting next to Denver at the counter. My daddy dominant was clearly more excited than nervous from the way he was bouncing his right knee and whispering "hurry up" a number of times. I reached over and grasped his left hand with my right one, squeezing his fingers. Denver leaned over and kissed my head just as Dallas answered our video call.

"Boys," began Dallas, his overjoyed expression and tone of voice making me want to cry. I really missed him.

"Hi, Dad." Denver smiled warmly, moving his fingers in my grasp to properly hold my hand. "I missed seeing your face—we both did."

I glanced between the pair and raised an eyebrow. "Den, Dally is just an older version of you. It's like looking into a mirror that can reflect your age twenty something years into the future."

Denver and Dallas laughed, the latter looking much less somber after my remark. And that was my intention since Dallas looked sad and lonely a little earlier.

"But, anyway, I missed you too, Dally."

Dallas smiled broadly. "And I you, Emil. How did the move go? Last time we talked, you both said that things were hectic."

Denver nodded. "The move was very hectic, but it all went well. Thanks to our plan, everything was moved here safely and securely."

I agreed with a grin. "Yup! Carver and my sister helped us out, too."

"That's wonderful. Rodeo season is back into gear. I should send y'all some videos I've been taking lately."

Denver grinned. "Sounds good, Dad. Any of you?"

Dallas vehemently shook his head. "I'm not risking severe bodily injury at this point. I need to be able to attend my boys' wedding."

My cheeks flushed and I leaned into Denver, stealing a glance to see that his face was warm as well. I giggled to myself, then smiled broadly at Dallas. "That's right, Dally. And you have to be in good health to come visit us a lot."

Dallas smiled happily. "Maybe Rita will allow me a little extra time off to spend more than just a few days with you and Denver, Emil."

"As in before or after the wedding?" asked Denver, looking very hopeful for either of those options.

Dallas chuckled warmly. "I wouldn't dare interrupt my boys' honeymoon, so it would have to be before the wedding."

Denver locked our closest hands together as I rested my head on his left shoulder and smiled. My man looks extremely happy thanks to Dallas' response. I know I feel very happy as well.

"A few days ago, Denver and I went shopping for essential furniture for the guest bedrooms. We picked out a style that will help you feel more at home here." I explained with a warm, happy smile. Dallas's bottom lip trembled and his eyes reddened as I continued, "Each room will have its own theme. And yours will be similar to what you have at your home."

"Th-thank you," murmured Dallas, turning his head to wipe his eyes. "I appreciate that so much, boys."

I grinned. "You can thank us properly when you get here, Dally. Denver and I are eagerly waiting for when you can visit."

Dallas nodded. "I can hardly wait."

Denver and Dallas began to talk about various topics to do with our lives. I jumped in at times, often making the father and son pair laugh. It was so nice to be able to talk to Dallas through a video call. But when the time came for it to end, since it was time for Dallas to feed the animals in the evening at the ranch, we were all a bit disappointed. There were no tearful goodbyes since we promised to talk again in a few days.
