HEATHER POV“ So, are you ready to talk?” the principal asked.
I looked at Zero and he looked away. Was I really ready to ruin his life like this?!
“ I…I didn’t mean to hit them. What happened was…” Zero began.
“…it was a dare. We had dared him to hit us in front of the other students.” I quickly jumped in.
“ We were just playing. Nobody knew that everyone would record. Right Dexter?!”
Dexter did not answer.
“ If anything sir, the only person who has to be punished is the one who put those photos of me on the website. Not Zero.”
“ She’s right, the three of us were playing. However, the one who wrote all those things about Heather should be punished. That’s the real bully here!”
The principal stared at us in shock. “ Really?!”“ Yeah!” Zero and I both said.
“ They’re lying.” Dexter said in low voice. “ She’s just protecting him cause he’s manipulative.”
“ Shut up Dexter!” I snapped.
What was he doing?!
“ What do you mean Dexter?!” asked the principal.
“ He is just jealous of our relationship that’s what!
He’s still angry at the fact that I turned him down.” I said quickly.
“ Okay! Enough with the personal details here! Dexter, please…this is not the time for revenge okay. Listen, I will turn a blind eye on this stupid story okay? Get out of here and stop doing these dare games.”“ Thank you sir!” Zero quickly said before rising from the chair.
I followed him and we walked out, Dexter following us from behind.
“ Thank you Heather.” Zero whispered in my ear.
“ You owe me,” I said before walking away from him.
Had I done the right thing though? Yes, I still had feelings for the jerk. Screw me!
When I reached class, there was no teacher inside.
I received a lot of stares from the curious classmates as I sat down next to Nancy.
“ And?” she asked, “ You told on him right?”
Zero also walked inside before Dexter walked in as well.
“ How you like that huh?! Go ahead, take your bags and get out of here!” Nancy yelled in victory.
“ Serves you right for being a fucken bully!”
“ I’m not going anywhere.” Zero said before sitting down on his chair. “ Nobody is Nancy.”
She looked at me in shock! “ What the hell is he saying?”
“ Just leave it Nancy,” I said in defeat.
“ She didn’t tell you did she? We kissed and made up. Before the principal.” Zero yelled.
“ What the…!” Nancy cried. “ Heather, why did you?”
“ It doesn’t matter,”
“ Yes it does! He humiliated you in front of the whole school! So are you telling me that Dexter stood up for nothing?!”
“ Just leave me alone! Okay? Stop making me feel worse than I am!” I snapped.
“ You should! I…they were right about you, you’re just a liar, nothing else.”
“ I don’t care okay?! Geez Nancy why do you always nag me?! Just leave me alone!” I snapped.
