NOVA POV

The bell rang and I quickly grabbed my bag pack and headed out of the classroom.

It was time to go home anyways. Screams, laughter and cheers filled the hallway as I squeezed myself between the sweaty bodies, hoping not to get crushed.

“ Out of the way bitches!” one girl yelled, hitting some of the boys with a folded newspaper.

Finally, I left the building and fresh air welcomed me. Time seemed to stop when I saw him. He was beautiful, the most perfect art.

Before I could decide whether to go talk to him or not, the tall girl with dark hair blocked my view and I watched as he opened the door of his car for her.

She looked over her shoulder one more time and I felt my stomach turn. Khia, it was Khia. My heart shattered into a million pieces. My prince charming, he was going out with the witch.

My school bag suddenly felt heavy as I dropped it between my legs and took deep breaths. I needed to breathe, or I would die.

Through my blurry vision, I saw my mom’s car entering the school. I quickly fixed my face and pulled my bag pack. She needed to see my strong side. I had to be strong for her.

I forced a smile as she opened the door for me.

“ Why are you smiling?” she asked.

“ I met someone,” I said. “ A boy,”

“ A boy?” she asked in worry and shock.

“ He helped me when I couldn’t get to class. His name is Cyprian.”

“ That’s great,” she forced the words.

“ Why are you not happy?” I asked her.

“ I am! Just be careful okay?” she said before driving out of the school.

Had I said something wrong? I looked out of the window and decided to forget about Cyprian.

Maybe he was a dream, not real just like some of my dreams. Maybe I was delusional and mom could see that.
