She ran, ran fast and hard to keep up with the wolves. She didn't fall behind. She was one of them. She couldn't talk, she never learned how. Her parents abandoned her in the woods as a baby. A wolf mother morning for her lost pup heard her cry and took care of her. Instead of emotions, she ran off of instinct, and she followed the pack, helping them hunt with her stone knives acting as the Alpha's pup.
She and the wolves lept over fallen trees and debris caused by the storm that hit the night before. It was brutal with its wind, rain, and thunder, but they endured it inside their safe little cave.
The border of their destination was ahead. The girl fell hard on the ground. She had been snagged by a thornbush. She cried in pain but had no words. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw a dark figure. Her heart thudded and pounded in her chest. She could sense she wasn't alone.
"Owooooo!" She howled to her pack, but they were long gone. Suddenly she expeirienced something she never had with her pack, fear. The figure came closer and closer. She shut her eyes and slashed around wildly. She wouldn't let him take her. She howled and screamed in protest as she was lifted off the ground.
She thrashed and scratched the male holding her. "Ow." She heard him say, though didn't understand. She opened her eyes slowly and saw she was in the arms of a human. Her wild instincts kicked in and she jumped out of his arms. She ran fast but he caught her again. She struggled some more. Her muscles ached from thrashing about. She gave up.
She lay her head down on his shoulder in defeat and drifted of to sleep, letting him take her where ever, she didn't care.

"What is your name?" The male asked her again. She didn't understand. "Can you speak?"
This was a strange cave. It was made of trees. Instead of round, the cave was square. Confusion bounced around in her senses. The male rolled his eyes and rubbed his head, the top covered with brown head fur. He put his hands on the table and stared straight into her eyes.
"Hello." He extended a hand.
She gave him a, "What the heck are you doing?", look.
"Hello." He said again. She studied him carefully. "Helloooo." He said one more time.
"H-he-hell?" She said unsure. His eyes went wide and he covered her mouth. "No, 'Hello'."
"No, Hell-o." She said finally. The strange male sighed in relief. "Yes, Hello." "Yes, Hello." She repeated. He smacked himself.
He pointed to himself. "Nay-th-an." He said slowly. Then he pointed to the girl. She stared at him blankly. He let out a long breath and rubbed his head.
She probably doesn't even know her name, He thought. "Well, we'll find you one." He decided.
She stared at him emotionless as he tapped his chin. "Aleah? No. Sally? No. Something, that's a good name. Haha, just kidding." His way of speaking confused her.
Suddenly a light bulb went of in Nathan's head. "Ariel! I found you like that one prince guy found Ariel. Except you weren't wearing a sheet and your hair is all matted and long..." He said.
"Ari-al?" She tested. He nodded.
"Ariel." He pointed to her.
"Ariel." His blue eyes sparkled. I'm such a great teacher, He thought arrogantly.
"I'll teach you everything you need to know." He said proudly. This would be the beginning of a great friendship.
