So I have come to the end of my short story - I hope you enjoyed it! I know it seems funny writing these stories for a show that ended a year ago but I only stumbled across SCK in March of 2022, the things that Instagram throws at you! Having spent time in Istanbul it is a lovely place and to live on the Bosporus would be amazing!

Your comments are welcome as always!

The long awaited party had finally arrived. Aydan was in her element. It wasn't a fancy dress party like the engagement party but a casual party. Aydan had learned since Eda came into their lives to relax and live more freely. Ayfer and Aydan greeted guests alongside Serkan and Eda, Serkan maintained a protective arm around Eda and their baby girl. Their friends and family knew that this man had fought hard for what he was holding in his arms and he had no intention of letting go.

An hour later, Eda was chatting with Ceren and Melo when Serkan saw Fifi sneaking up behind them. Engin saw her and so did Erdem, Engin did the only thing that he could think of, he pushed Erdem in the pool. Serkan laughed at this, he owed Engin.

Fifi approached the girls, "So what is this I hear about you getting knocked up?"

The three of them turned in unison and screamed, "FIFI!" The reunion was all that Serkan could have hoped for. When Fifi told them that Serkan planned it as a surprise, the hugs and thanks were turned on him. Serkan Bolat had grown, he accepted hugs from more people now, especially people he loved or who loved Eda.

"Serkan Bolat, thank you for a wonderful surprise." Eda gave him a loud kiss right on the mouth.

Hours later, the fairy lights strung across the property all came on. Serkan and Eda went to the small dance floor and clinked their glasses to make their announcements.

"We wanted to thank you all for coming tonight to help us celebrate. I know that you were all involved in the process to reconcile the two of us. I am beyond grateful that you all love and care for us so much that you were willing to put up with my stubborn self. You were all there for us during my fight with cancer and supported Eda and my anne. Each and every one of you, I toast you, giving you our love and thanks."

Serkan and Eda lifted their glasses to their guests.

"Tonight Eda and I have one more celebration. Many of you were here months ago when Eda and I embarked on our first journey. It may have been a false engagement but the feelings that I had for Eda at that time were real. I have loved her since the very first moment that I met her, for me it was love at first sight."

Eda turned so that she could give Serkan a kiss and whisper 'I love you so much'.

"Tonight, Eda and I would like you to join us as we recommit ourselves to each other. Tonight we are going to redo our vows in front of all of you who have supported us though all of our journey. Eda and I made the decision last month to get married when it looked like that the cancer had returned, we wanted to be committed regardless of the outcome. Turns out I was just allergic to the new cleaner Seyfi bought and I am still cancer free!"

The crowd laughed and clapped at the same time. Seyfi just shook his head.

"Melo and Engin if you could be our witnesses we would be proud."

Their second marriage ceremony was no less special than their first. There were more tears and laughter in it though. Finally the pink diamond flower ring and the platinum band were moved to the left hands over the infinity tattoos. The kiss of the bride was made more special by Serkan being able to feel his daughter kick very faintly for the first time.

Later that evening, dancing together, Serkan said, "When we danced here the first time, I knew then that it was you and only you. I never wanted to let you go. You have given me everything I ever wanted in life and so much more. You are my life and my breath and my soul." He placed a tender kiss on her forehead.

Eda just breathed him in, "I was afraid that day, afraid that I lost my heart. I should have known that you would always keep it safe but we had to learn some things along the way that made us stronger and taught us to love deeper. I love what we share and that you are my partner through thick and thin. I love you, my breath, my soul, my life."

The kizlar and Seyfi watched them. They knew it from the first dance. Eda and Serkan, in love and dancing like there was no one else in the world.
