Luis has been clueless for the past two minutes. He doesn't want to be lost, but he wants to have an adventure.
No, no adventure. Step away from that. No adventures today, maybe with a real person after.
He turned around, walking in the direction the sand was in. A gust of wind came by now and then, and the crab would stay sturdy, legs sunk in his shoulder. They were almost there, just a few more minutes of pain with his feet, and they'd be on the sand.
'
Crab-
Matai, no longer cared about the park. He will follow Luis, every step he goes. Not in the water though, he can try, but he'll end up like his family. Maybe he isn't a crab for the deep lands of the water.
He was ushered to crawl on the sand, to dig his legs in the sand again, taking a break from giving the peasant a place to swim that didn't have sand in it. He was proud, and he dug up a little home for himself, leaving Luis clueless again.
What should he do now?
His kicked the hole Matai made, and walked back to where he slept. The crab, frustrated, crawled rapidly towards him, snapping his pincers again, and again. He pinched his legs.
"Dude, it still hurts you know," He murmured, walking faster again.
Matai went faster, using his skills as a crab to go sideways.Luis reached the place he was crying on, and hopped onto the rock, which above, had a road.
"Hey uh...I think I needa go, can't stay lost here!" He whispered to the crab, who stopped.
"I'll see you tomorrow? Maybe...at night? I heard crabs sleep in the day, well-usually...I needa go to school and er, yeah. Yeah, night, whatever you do, don't leave and go in the water. Bye Matai, see ya soon," He did a little wave and left.Matai snapped his pincers, and slowly backed away (sideways, again). As if he understood, he dug up a home again (a better one) and slept through the day, leaving the water to crash slowly on the shore. He was far from the water, so he'll be safe. No seagulls, animals, or gusts of wind to attack.
'
Luis ran to his apartment, keys in his hand and phone in his pocket. His hoodie was around his waist like usual and his shirt was hanging over his right shoulder this time. He ran over the cracks of the concrete, around couples and old people (not to show off), and avoided poles/trees. Once his apartment was in sight, he prepared his keys in his hand.
He sighed for a few seconds and entered in the building with his number and ran in, pressing the buttons endlessly on the elevator. It closed, and Luis had the time to relax. Sort of.
He leaned on the railing and looked at the mirrors around him. He looked insane. His hair was outrageous, and he was semi-naked (covered with a hanging shirt and hoodie of course). Did he really go running in the streets like this?
The elevator opened and he went to his door, unlocking it and swinging it wide open. He plopped himself on the couch.
Did I really make friends with a scary crab?
Aren't they eaten by us? Why is it even smart? Why does this make no sense? He shook those thoughts away for now and stripped his clothes off, stepping into the shower.
Any signs of water reminded him of Matai.
He adjusted the water so it'd be lukewarm, and he soaked himself in the water.
A crab! Lui you are so stupid...
'
He was on his bed, scrolling through his phone. He skipped school, knowing that it wouldn't matter.
He was friends with something, that was good.
He closed the phone and threw it gently on the bed in a partial amount of fury.
He couldn't do anything anymore. In the evening, he would take short walks away from people, a silent place, where he could cry. He hasn't done it today. He's lucky. Maybe he should eat the crab and he'd be happier. It would help right?
No, he has made a bond with Matai. He wouldn't dare pick him up again.
He stood up and went out of his door, and went down his apartment.
