Chapter 13

I woke up early feeling excited as today was the day we were finally going to the lake, I grabbed my phone and instantly sent Drew a txt. 

S-"TODAY IS THE DAY BITCH GET UP AND GET OVER HERE!!!!!"

I was smiling as I pressed send and got up to head for the shower once finished I came back in to my room and jumped throwing my hand up to my chest. "DREW WHAT THE FUCK MAN DONT DO THAT" I shouted seeing Drew lying there comfy on my bed and now in a fit of laughter.

She pointed at me crying her eyes out "awww man you should have seen your face, you txt me and here I am."

"knob!" I said as I walked over to my closet grabbing some grey skinny jeans and a white polo shirt to get dressed. I come back out of the bathroom fully dressed and my hair done, I grabbed my timberland boots and went and sat on my bed to put them on.

Oli came walking in to my room "hey guys you 2 ready to go?" we looked at him and relied "yeah" at the same time, we both got up and I grabbed my suit case to head downstairs. 

"Stay put you 3" my mom said sternly as she come running out the kitchen, we all paused and turned to face her, "where's my hugs goodbye?" she questioned us. One by one each of us gave her a hug and in return she gave us all £50 each and told us to be safe. 

We grabbed our bags and walked down the drive way to the rear of the car and Oli started to put our bags in the boot, as he was doing that Tom and Charli arrived. I smiled and ran to Tom to give him a bro hug then I wrapped Charlie in my arms and gave her a hug to. "Hey guys I so excited we are all going on this trip" 

The were both giving toothy smiles "us to Shayne just cant wait to get there now, feels like we all don't hang out as much anymore" Tom said.

"Yeah I know bud but this will be an awesome week, booze, sand and girls" I said with the biggest smile ever, which earnt me a slap on the arm from Charlie, "not for him" she pointed to Tom and I just laughed. 

"Hey guys bring your bags over so we can put them in the car" Drew said.

I watched Tom and Charlie walk over to the car where Drew and Oli were to give them their bags and I heard a car door shut, I don't know why but I turned around and instantly looked towards the house over the road and my mouth fell open, there I saw a girl with blonde hair stood locking her car, she looked up and then towards me where our eyes connected "Amber" I whispered to myself with a look of confusion on my face.  Drew slapped me on my back causing me to look at her "Shay you ready to go?" she asked me, I had a blank face and looked back over the road and the girl was gone "y..y..yeah" I just about managed to say and we turned to go and get in the car. 

We all piled in the car and started our journey to the lodge on the lake it only took us a couple of hours to get there and the whole car journey I couldn't get that girl out of my head "was it really her? why is she here? why now? why hasn't she come to see me?" all these questions flew round my mind a tap on the window broke me out of my thoughts "dude you coming in? you have been spacing out for the last 5 minutes" Drew said. 

I opened the car door "yeah man I coming" I said going to grab my bag "what's up  with you? you have been quiet since we left home" She said as we walked in to the lodge. 

I debated whether to say anything or not after all Drew was there for me and helped me when I was at my worst, I decided not to "yeah I'm good man lets get changed and head to the beach" I said which she smiled to and ran off to her room. Once changed we met back in the main room of the lodge where everyone was waiting for us and we headed out down to the beach. 

Once we found a spot we set our stuff down and Oli got everyone a beer out of the cooler we brought. "Hey Oli where's Lilly?" I questioned.

"She will be here in a bit" he said and sat down, Drew sat next to me but I was still spacing every now and then. Drew nudged me "Hey Shay look at that chick" she said pointing in the direction of a girl in a black and red striped bikini, she had brown hair which was in a high ponytail. I looked at Drew with a smirk "challenge accepted" I said and got up making my way over to the girl that was walking our way. 

I approached the girl pretending I was going to walk past her and smiled at her, she returned my smile so I started walking backwards and said "I was wondering if you were an artist because you were so good at drawing me in" she stopped walking and laughed at me "that's a good one one" she said, I laughed at her response "me and my friends are having some beers over there if you want to join us?" I asked, she looked over to where I was pointing and nodded her head yes smiling "great lets go" I said and threw my arm over her shoulder and guided her to where we was sat.

As we approached everyone I shot a smirk at Drew and she shook her head at me, "SHAYNE get your hands off my girlfriend" Oli half shouted at me and cam over to give the girl a peck on the lips, my mouth fell open and my arm slid of the girl, I was bamboozled by this and dropped down next to Drew who was now pissing herself laughing.
