Chapter 16

I woke up to someone knocking on my bedroom door "come in" I said groggily sitting up on my bed. My bedroom door opens and in strolls Drew "hey" she said making her way over to sit on my bed. "That's new for you, you normally just coming running in and jump on me" I laughed.

Drew started laughing to and said "yeah I know maybe I'm still tired from the drive, here" she past me an envelope, I took it from her and opened it, as predicted it was a birthday card from her and her dad with £50 inside. "Awe thanks man and thank pops for me" I said with a huge smile on my face. 

Another knock on my door comes "yes" I say and my mum pops her head through the door "hey Hun you have a visitor" she says with some sort of sad look on her face "okay" I say and then look at Drew with a confused look which she does the same, my mum walks out and a few minutes after Amber walks in to my room.

My mouth dropped open at the sight of her she is still amazingly beautiful and cant believe she is standing in front of me right now, is she really here. "well hello there gorgeous you must be her for me because someone as hot as you cant possibly be here for Shayne" Drew said as she pushed me causing me to fall backwards on my bed.

I shot up and hit her with a pillow with a mad look on my face "ow" she said rubbing her face "don't speak to her like that, ummm Drew can you leave us? ill text you later" I said looking down at my bed.

Drew looked at me confuse "uh yeah sure bro" she got up and placed her hand on my shoulder then left. 

I looked up to Amber with no expression she was standing there not sure what to do so looking uncomfortable. I motioned for her to sit down, she walked over to my desk chair and sat down.

We was staring at each other not saying a word, "are you going to speak" I said quietly. 

She was still staring at me "you um look good" she said shyly. 

I looked up at her in disbelieve "your kidding right? you left me without a word no txt, no letter, no call, not even a fucking email!" I said raising my voice a little. 

She coward a little and dropped her head looking at her lap while playing with her fingers "I know and I'm so sorry it wasn't my fault" she said.

"Your sorry? do you know how broken I have been since that day you didn't show up for school and coming home to find your house empty? and how hard I have worked to build myself back up?" I seethed. 

She looked up at me with tears coming down her face "I..I never stopped thinking about you Shay, since that day I have been miserable to. I'm sorry I didn't get in touch. I just didn't know what to say" she chocked out.

I was still looking at her a part of me just wanted to get up and go comfort her but I didn't why should after all she left me and broke me, "you could have at least broke up with me" I said looking down at my bed. She got up to walked over to me and went to place a hand on my shoulder, I moved out of her touch "I..I think you should leave" I said still not looking at her. 

"Shay please let me explain what happened" she said crying uncontrollably now, I looked up to her with a pain expression and just looked back down at my bed without saying anything. I then heard shuffling and my bedroom door open and close, I got up and watched her walk across the street back to her house when she got to her front door she stopped and looked up at my window before going into her house.

I walked back to my bed and let a couple of tears fall down my face before wiping them with the back of my hand, I didn't know what to think or do at the moment but I do know one thing and that's I still love her. I took a few deep breaths to calm myself down and picked up my phone.

S-"Drew I need you"

I sent Drew a txt knowing she would come straight away and just like clock work my bedroom door flew open and she came right over to my and engulfed me in a hug. 

"You ok? what happened? and who was the hottie?" she carefully said.

I leaned back out of the hug and sighed, the we both got more comfortable sitting on the bed and leaning against the headboard, I began to tell Drew all about Amber and what happened, I had told her some stuff but not everything. 

"I still love her, seeing her has just brought back all them feelings. I don't think I ever truly got over her even though I acted like I was ok" I said.

Drew let out a breath "wow dude I knew you was sad but bloody hell that's a lot to deal with. I can understand why you still love her she's stunning, um not that I would go there. But you didn't let her explain her side of the story, maybe I would have done the same, I cant blame you. But maybe you should give her a chance?" She said to me.

"I know bro it was just to much all at once I need time" I huff out "will stay over tonight?" I asked.

 "Sure you know I've got your back" she said. 

I smiled at her then we got ready for bed, once we was done and got in to bed I put a film on for background noise as we both settle for the night.
