Chapter 9

So its been a couple of months of being back at school now and Drew has taken some of the attention off me because the girls have started to mostly swoon over her as well now. I had taken Drew's advise and put Amber to the back of my mind and started going out more and checking girls out, flirting with them not going to far with them though probably just a few random make out sessions. I was chilling in my back yard as its the weekend and its a hot day so I was just in shorts and a tank top sitting in a deck chair, I herd a noise and looked towards the fence that separates my yard from Drews and saw her jumping over it.   

"Dude we have a door you know" I said pointing my thumb over my shoulder towards the house that's behind me. 

She just laughed walking over to me "yeah but that way was quicker when I saw you sat out here"

I shook my head stood up and went in to the kitchen to grab 2 bottles of beer and headed back outside and handed on to Drew she took it and smiled at me.

"So what's up?" I asked sitting back down and taking a sip of me beer.

"There's a house party tonight and your coming with me, its not far so we can walk" she said.

I nodded and agreed to go should be fun we carried on chilling outside and only had a couple of beers before we headed up to my room to get ready for this party tonight. 

I put some music on while we was getting ready and we had another beer as well, I decided with light grey ripped skinny jeans, white tank top with a blue and black checked shirt which I decided to wear my tan timberland boots with. Drew dressed similar to me and wore black ripped skinny jeans, whit tank top with a red and black checked shirt with black timberland boots. We was looking slick and ready to get going I shut my music off and we went down stairs in to the kitchen where Oli and my mum was, "hey we are going to head off now" I said.

"Ok kids be safe and don't drink to much" my mum said which we both nodded to with smiles on our faces. 

"Will do bro" I said.

Oli also chirped up and said "call me if you need me that goes for you to Drew" Oli and Drew have got close since I started hanging with her and now he thinks of her as his sister to. 

With that said me and Drew made our way out of the house and headed towards the party it only took us 10 minutes to walk to and we could hear the music pumping from down the road. We approached the front door and walked in seeing people dancing and some stumbling around drunk already, we made our way to the kitchen and I grabbed us a bottle of beer each and took the caps of handing one to Drew we clicked the bottle necks together and started to scan the room seeing what people were here. 

We soon split up as a girl came and dragged Drew away to dance leaving me to wonder around, I went out in to the garden where there was a fire pit going on with a few chairs and benches around it. I made my way over to and took a seat on one of the benches looking in to the fire, I felt a presence come and sit down next to me and I looked to my left and saw a girl sitting next to me with long black hair and brown eyes, she hands me a beer I except the beer and unscrew the cap good job coz mine just ran out. 

"Thank you" I said nodding my head

"Your welcome" she said back

I was taking her in and asked why she was on her own which she just shrugged and said she saw me on my own and decided to come sit with me. We shared some small talk and I think we was both a little bit tipsy I leaned in and kissed her I looked at her as I pulled back and she grabbed the back of my neck and pulled me back in to her crashing our lips together, I ran my tongue across the bottom of her lip asking for entrance which she obliged and I stuck my tongue in her mouth. 

As we was making out I couldn't help but picture Amber, I shook her from my thoughts when I heard my name being shouted "SHAYNE, SHAYNE" I backed away from the girl so I could look around to see who was calling me and I saw Drew running towards where we was sat. 

"Dude there you are we need to go now!" she said a little out of breath.

I looked at her confused "yo calm down why?"

She kept looking over her shoulder and back to me as she was about to answer 2 guys appeared at the back door to the house where she had came from, they pointed towards us and I realised what was going on I turned to the girl "sorry love gotta go" I said then stood up quickly. Me and Drew sprinted to the rear of the garden and hopped over the fence and carried on running until we was sure the guys hadn't caught up to us.

As we slowed down to a walk at the end of our street I looked towards Drew "Dude what was that all about?" she looked at me and did a toothy grin "I'll explain when we get in your room" she breathed out chuckling, I just smirked and shook my head. We approached my house and got me keys out to unlock the front door, all the lights were out so I knew my mum and brother was asleep, we went up to my room and kicked off our shoes I went to my closet and pulled out 2 pairs of shorts and threw a pair at Drew. 

Once we was changed we both sat on my bed and I waited for her to tell me what happened. "So as you know I got pulled away to dance by some chick, it also turned out she had a boyfriend. Anyway one thing led to another and he came over to us and caught me with my hand down her pants, this didn't go down with him to well and so that led in to me running" she explained and laughed.

I couldn't help but laugh with her at this coz I could imagine myself in the same situation "haha dude if it wasn't you it would of been me" I said looking at her with tears of laughter.

She then asked me "speaking of you who was that chick you was making out with?"

I looked at her with a pained expression on my face "dunno bro just some random chick" I responded. Drew noticed had I just went in to myself when she asked "you still miss her don't you?" I looked at Drew and just nodded my head and laid down in my bed, Drew followed my actions and we both went to sleep.
