Chapter 20

I was pacing around in my room deciding who I should speak to first, I picked up my phone and txt Drew as I thought it would be easy to have a conversation with her first.

S-"Can you come over?"

D-"Be there in 2 bro"

After I read her text, I took a few deep breaths to prepare myself but before I knew it Drew came waltzing in to my room shutting the door behind. I put my phone in my pocket and went to sit on my bed. 

"Hey Drew" I said as I sat down.

"What's up bro? you didn't respond to any of my calls or texts yesterday" she said as she sat on the chair by my desk. I decided I wasn't going to beat around the bush and just come straight out with it.

I looked her straight in the eyes "I was going to speak to Amber yesterday, but then decided against it after I saw you coming out of her house, after lying to me about being with your dad. Would you care to explain why you was with Amber and hugging her?" I said in a sharp tone.

I saw Drew gulp and a shocked facial expression on her face, she let out a sigh and looked at the floor before looking back to me "look Shay, yes I did lie to you about being busy with my dad but, I didn't do it for the way you are thinking. Yes I did go to see Amber she wanted to talk to me about you coz you ghosted her" she said sternly. 

I listened to what she had to say and I did feel a bit relieved that it wasn't what I was thinking "I'm sorry Drew I know you wouldn't do that to me, its just that when it comes to Amber, after everything that's happened, I just over think" I said softly trying to ease the tension between us. 

"Its ok bro I get it, but I wouldn't do that to you, but I do think you should talk to Amber she's really hurt and you both feel the same about each other" she said getting up and making her way over to me.

Once Drew was stood in front of me she reached out for my arm and pulled me up of the bed and gave me a hug. While we was hugging my phone started ringing so I pulled it out my pocket to see who it was, it was Carly, I dropped my phone on to my bed ignoring it and looked back at Drew. 

"Who's Carly" she asked me pointing at my and looking confused.

"Someone I met when I went on a run yesterday, I met her in the park and we got talking. And before you ask, no I'm not interested in her but she seems like a nice girl" I said knowing what Drew would ask me. 

She was staring at me and then broke out in a huge grin "is she fit and single?" she asked.

I rolled my eyes at her "I don't no and yes she is good looking" I replied. 

"You should hook me up, we could go on a double date" she said waving her arms around, jumping up and down like a little kid. 

I started laughing at her and pushed her on the bed, I sat down next to her and grabbed my phone to send a text to Carly.

S-"Hey Carly sorry I didn't answer, I was having the talk with Drew." 

C-"Hey its ok and how did it ok? everything ok?"

S-"Yeah everything's fine. Speaking of Drew she wants to meet you?"

C-"oh random lol umm sure why not, just let me know"

"Well what did she say" Drew asked franticly looking over my shoulder.

I turned my head to look at her "chill dude she said yeah, now all I need to do is sort things with Amber" I said letting out a breath. 

"Yeah you do, it will be fine stop stressing. anyway I'm gonna head out got to do some shit round the house before my dad gets home" she said standing up off my bed. 

"OK cool, I'll text you" we fist bumped and then Drew left, I then text Amber to make sure she was free so we could have a talk.

S-"Hey are you free to talk?"

A-"Yes come over in 30mins"

I let out a sigh of relief that she responded to me, I really do want to sort this out. I went in to my bathroom to freshen up, I checked what I was wearing which was a pair of black skinnies and a white T-shirt. I threw on a beanie because I couldn't be bothered to style my hair, I then sat at my desk and slipped on my DC high tops. 

I went down stairs to let my mum know I was going over to Amber's, "het mum I'm going over to Amber's" I said as I entered the kitchen. She turned to look at me "ok sweetie, is everything ok with you two now?" she asked.

I looked to the floor then back up to my mum "it will be" I said with a smile.

"Good she is such a lovely girl and you got along so well before her family took her away." she said coming towards me to give me a hug. 

"Thanks mum, laters" I said as I pulled away from our hug and made my way to the front door.
